I hate it too..why they just can't leave things alone I don't know. My status right now says "hates change"

me too, I have maybe 10 or 11 items right now. I get the same few people sending me gifts all the time. Of course I only have 24 friends and half of them don't even really play.

I could always use more friends

I need 2 bricks to complete my stable.

If you go to the farmville fan page on facebook you can put in your gift page.... you put this as a comment to their latest wall post and mention what you still need.
http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/gifts.php?ref=neighborBar&giftRecipient=

then your facebook ID number at the end and it will direct people to send you gifts. That's how I finished mine so fast.

For example it would look like this : http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/gifts.php?ref=neighborBar&giftRecipient=123456

Thank you soooo much for this suggestion! My stable is now completely built. If only I knew about this when they were giving away free fuel. I'm using it now to get mystery gifts and horses!

How do you get wooden boards by gifting? I can get bricks, nails, horseshoes, harnesess but no wooden boards.

It is random evidently. Among the ten of us who've I heard back from, only one of us can gift horseshoe (so all but one of us are waiting on horseshoes), but two or three of us can gift every other component.

Bingo managed to be able to gift wood now so let the building begin!

Does anyone else worry about overwhelming their FaceBook friends (who don't play FarmVille) with FarmVille-related posts? I've recently changed the way I post things, to deal with this. It is a little more work on my part, but it almost surely has enough of a positive effect on my FaceBook friends that it is worth it. What I do is on each post, I click on the little padlock next to the Publish button. That lets you select between Everyone, Friends of Friends, Only Friends, and Customize.... -- choose Customize... Then select your FarmVille neighbors. (I great a group, which has my FarmVille friends -- and really only those that are actively playing -- so I can just enter the group name there.)

(I just hope, now that I'm doing this, that those FaceBook friends that have hid my posts from their news feed, because of all the FarmVille crap I've been posting [because they didn't realize {or care} that they could just hide posts from FarmVille] will unhide me! )

I'm halfway done with my stable and all done with my barns. I may get a third barn but haven't decided yet. I read on farmville freak that they are going to be (supposedly) releasing new ribbons for the referee cows and a nacho crop for the superbowl.

Ok, I harvested one of my Referee Cows and glowing horseshoe came up off of it, like a reward of some kind. It didn't seem to do anything to my stable, and I don't think it added anything to my gift box.

Any ideas what that was all about?

Thanks bicker for the tip. I was wondering the padlock button was for when FV awards would come up. I 've been deleting the FV feeds that have been been claimed or expired.

I just need one more board!

I just started doing this earlier this week.

Its also good to keep any co-workers from wondering why you're posting FarmVille stuff in the middle of the day.

If you click on your name on the main facebook page it's the long number at the end of the web address.

I don't see a long number, just a username.

Its just like any other friends list. Just name it FarmVille.

Me too. Links to my page, profile, account, etc, list my username, if anything at all.

I know that once you post the message to your wall, the specific restriction cannot be changed. I don't know what happens if you include a group name, and then change the members of the group. It would be an interesting experiment.
