FarmVILLE on Facebook

I really want to start a co-op but I haven't had much luck as a starter. I've joined a few and have 1 gold but most have been silvers. I think this last one I will be getting a bronze as we were short a few tomatoes.

Darn..

Are you my friend on facebook? I just started a tomato one today and its doing really well if you want to join. meldanpick @ gmail dot com is my facebook email. I've gotten gold on three so far!

Is there a limit to how many people can join a specific co-op? I have a firend who can no longer join the tomato co-op my DH began this morn...I find that strange.

Well, that's no answer as there are only 3 of us in the co-op to begin with. Anyone else having problems joing any of them?

I just had a friend start a co-op, tried to join after two minutes - couldn't do it. :confused3 Don't know if it was full or what...hard to believe at two minutes...but it told me to look at other jobs on my list. Weird.

Ugh, I joined a co-op on Thursday and harvested and it didn't give credit for what I harvested. I got a message from another member of the co-op and she had the same problem.
Friday, it gave credit for what I harvested, but it never did give us credit for Thursday's harvests.
Now, I'm hoping we still get gold. Blah.

I have a question about getting fuel while fertilizing your neighbors farms....

Is it random, if and when you DO get fuel? My DH says you get atleast some fuel from EVERY farm that you fertilize. I beg to differ since it seems that I'll get some for a couple farms, then not get any for a while and then it'll pop up again.

Can someone explain how this actually works? Thanks

No..it's random and you don't get fuel from every farm you work. When you go to a neighbor's farm to fertilize, you will sometimes get fuel...even if you fertilize the plowed land where there is no seed planted.

We are having the same problem. A friend started a grape co-op last night, I joined. It's just the 2 of us right now. A third person tried to join this morning and is getting an error saying it's full or no longer exists. When I check it, it's still there and just the 2 of us. It shows the 364 we seeded last night. I checked on the ZYNGA forums, it's a known problem and they have not come up with a resolution. Very frustrating.

Oh, that is just lovely! So you start a co-op and hope people join...but they can't. Niiice....:thumbsup2 You know, at some point Zynga is going to have to give up on using the Beta excuse with FV. I mean, come on - how long can you milk that "it's just a beta version" thing? Stop bringing out new features and fix the problems first!

Google News, and Gmail, were in beta for at least three years, each. Flickr was also in beta for years, and then, as if to make a point of it, they went from beta to "gamma".

Part of the issue is that, in cases of online software product offerings, specifically, there is very little incentive to take a product out from beta. It doesn't seem to get more consumers to purchase the offering, nor seems to get customers to purchase more of the offering. There is no real up-side to it, and lots of down-side.

So I took the plunge and bought a dog. (I used my coins) Thing is...I somehow skipped the screen where you can name the dog. It's automatically named Spot unless you pick a different one. :( Is there a way to go back and name it what I wanted to?

Anyone game to start/join a DISer co-op club? I having a hard time getting co-ops completed- like right now, I started a tomato one about 5 hours ago and we have just shy of 800 planted, but need 500 more planted (and harvested) within 13 hours to make gold. Uhh...probably won't happen. That one seems short, usually you have time to re-seed at least once in a co-op, not this one it seems???

Anyway..I am thinking if a group of 5-9 of us get together, and plan a co-op to do and all work together and plant and harvest prompty to get it done..it might be really cool!!! The more we have the less we have to devote to the co-op, so we can plant other things, as well. If 9 of us join, even on the 1700 crop co-ops, that's less than 200, you know? So half your field (if you have the biggest one) and you are done. I would love to have 3 elephants and 4-5 of the purple sheep..but I can plant whatever. Gaining 1000 XP a day ain't bad either. :lmao:

What do you all think? Anyone game? OR..if there is an existing co-op type club already..heck, let me know, I would love to join!!!

Just read other posts to my question. I guess it's good that others are hain problems joining co-ops and it's not just me! Interesting think is that my firend can start a co-op and we had a bunch of family join in. But she can't join in ours...just weird...I'd be in for a DIS co-op.

Some of the co-ops seem to be structured so that you won't get gold if you need to harvest and reseed. Town Greening is a one day crop but the time for gold is one day. A Pack of Pickeled Patty Pans is a 16 hour crop but the time for gold is 31 hours.

I'm game for a DISer co-op. I've found that one key is coordinated timing: Everyone should know in advance when the job is going to be started, and commit to joining the co-op and seeding at that time.

This CO-op thing has reached a new level in my house. My son asked me to set the alarm to get up and harvest my plants this morning at 4:00 am!!!! He's nuts!

I can't believe that I am considering it. :rotfl2:
