FarmVILLE on Facebook

wait... explain this for me again.. I'm got mush brain tonight
popcorn::
I planted about 450 grapes on my farm yesterday, but left about 50 plots open. Today when the grapes were ready, I started a co-op. Once it was started, I planted the 50 fallow plots with grapes, then harvested 50 of the ones that were ready. Then I plowed the plots I had just harvested and planted more grapes, then harvested some more that were ready, and just repeated that until I had harvested everything that was ready. So about a half-hour after the co-op was started, I had harvested 450 and planted 500. Tomorrow I'll do the same thing and will have harvested about 1000 plots all by my little old lonesome in just a hair over 24 hours. I still need a little help from friends to get the gold reward, but this sure gives you a head start! :thumbsup2

As I think I mentioned before, you apparently cannot harvest more plots than have been planted (IOW, even if I had 450 plots ready, if I only *planted* 50, it would only *count* 50 being harvested for the co-op even if I had actually harvested all 450). FV doesn't seem to be able to tell that you're sneaking in with things already planted and ready as long as you plant, harvest, plant some more, harvest some more.... I'm sure this is a glitch that will be fixed, but for now it sure works nicely to give you a head start!

so you kinda start a day earlier than your actual co-op does. hmmm maybe I'll try that with the stir fry one.

Just make sure you leave a few plots open - you have to plant something for the co-op before you can harvest that crop. I don't know how it works with the stir-fry one...I'm assuming it keeps track of how many of each crop were planted. :confused3

So anyways, yes...start the crops one "cycle" (growing time) before you intend to start your co-op so you've got some things to harvest immediately. I also think this might get you more friends joining your co-op because you start out with some percentage complete rather than showing zero! :thumbsup2

LMK how it works for you once you try it!

more new co-ops just showed up again

Tossin' Tomatoes = tomatoes (reward =circus elephant)

A Very Berry Field Trip = cranberries and grapes (reward = school bus plow)

I wish they'd have co-ops for crops I haven't mastered yet... So far there is only one I don't have mastery on and the timing won't work for me just yet (crazy 13 hr work days)

Hey there! Does anyone know how long we have to feed the puppy, once the 24 hours is up, before it runs away?

How can you see what the rewards are? We got the wedding gazebo tonight and I really like it. :) Tonight we stated the grapes again, because the first time we didn't finish gold. This time we have them all panted tonight to be harvested tomorrow night. Wait, it's after midnight.

You get 24 hours to feed it before it runs away. Once you have fed it the count down goes to 0. Then an icon appears to say the dog is hungry and a further 24 hour countdown begins until you feed the dog (the times changes to feed in as opped to hungry in). Then the icon goes away and the hungry in countown begins again.

i literally just woke up on my couch, 5 hrs after it was supposed to be fed. thanks to you guys and this thread being open i went oh! booggied my buttt there. it was still in one spot- but i did have it stay put last nite. once i fed it, it registered it as beign fed twice and my next feeding time is in 19 hrs.

Oops.... too early in the morning to be thinking of this stuff.

scroll your mouse to stand over the little trophy and it shows you the reward :thumbsup2

my co-op finished this morning before I could even harvest my tulips so I tried your strategy with the tulips I already had planted.

It worked! I am 21% of the way completed already. Of course I didn't keep track of my plots as well as I should have, so I *wasted* about 50 plots.

I will need friends to help b/c my farm has about 450 plots on it so I will only be able to get 900 of the 1500 done by myself.

Yeah! Glad it worked for you!

I'm currently 69% complete at the end of 24hours for grapes and I'm the only one who has harvested so far! With the friends whose stuff will be ready in a few hours, we should have this wrapped up with at least 12 hours to go (assuming they harvest tonight). Yeah, at the end I'll have a farm full of grapes I don't need, but I'll have that stupid grape sheep to compliment it. :rotfl:

With this whole co-op thing...I have a confession to make...I'm blonde, literally and figuratively speaking..., and had a total blonde moment when I first joined a co-op I had no clue what I was doing and didn't fully understand what it was all about, and didn't really look at the fact that it was already pretty completed when I joined, so when I started another co-op for the patty pan squash, It actually took me a little while to realize that "Oh...I'm supposed to be planting these things!" So to any of my FV friends here, I apologize if I have joined a co-op or have sent out a co-op invite and friends joined and I didn't have anything planted or started. The blonde moment has passed...:rotfl:

On a side note, I have some great FB and FV friends from this thread, so if anyone else on here wants another FB/FV friend, who can be a little spacey at times, but is loyal and will help whenever I can...PM me. :goodvibes

I'm part of a co-op. I joined in after it had started so I harvested a little later than some of the others, but that was at 11 a.m. this morning. Spent all day waiting to see if we get the gold or not. Still has a few hours, so I'm not sure. If I quit the co-op now, do my harvests still count toward that gold or do they lose mine and I lose my opportunity for the prize? I just hate sitting around all day waiting and would hate more to spend the next two days waiting until we're out of the bronze. Guess I could just plant crops, but I'd like to join another co-op. Thanks!

If you quit you will get nothing. I am not sure if your crops harvested will go away - haven't found an answer to that one yet. You have to wait for the time to run out, but if all the crops have been harvested in the appropriate time, you'll get the rewards.

Thanks. That's what I was afraid of and I'd hate to mess it up for anyone else. I'll just wait. I'm such an impatient farmer. That's why I can't imagine every planting the 3 day crops.

I really want to start a co-op but I haven't had much luck as a starter. I've joined a few and have 1 gold but most have been silvers. I think this last one I will be getting a bronze as we were short a few tomatoes.

Darn..
