Farm Town on Facebook...

I play Farmville too, but prefer Farm Town at this point. I don't like that you have to do all the farming yourself and the graphics are too cartoony for me. Whoever saw a sheep the same size as a tree or farmstand?

Yes. But, the thing I like better about Farmville is you can earn coins from the animals. Cows give milk, chickens give eggs and sheep gives wool.

I havent read through all these pages, but I the one thing that has been driving me crazy lately and was wonderign if anyone elses was doing it, is that when I go to plow a field or plant, soemtimes my little person will walk all over my field in circles just to get back to that one point. Drives me nuts!!
And if I could dream, it would be some heavy equipment would go up for sale... something that harvests more than 1 crop at a time would be fantastic!

I go wandering as well
you kind of have to follow your work so sometimes the only path is all the way around a fence or in some odd cases down one row of plants and back...best to go over two or three then up one...that way you cant wander to far...

You have to friend them on Facebook first. You can send PM's to people here or you can look up people on the Farmtown Dis group on FB and send friend requests from there.

If you are concerned about people you don't 'know' seeing all of you FB Profile you can set up lists in the Privacy section of FB and limit what people in certain lists can see about you. Then you assign people to the lists.

Feel free to send me a PM.

Don't forget to go through the forums and click on those farm links. I was doing that this morning and got hired just for dropping in on 1 of them. Was a huge field of potatoes and grapes. Afterward i got asked to plow, Was great. made mucho dinero and 263 XP. Awesome.

Also when you level up enough to get the cotton. PLANT IT!! Planted 50 fields which DH harvested last night and it 23k of coins all by itself. Fantastic.

I just started this game this week because Phorsenuf forced me to. It is a cute little diversion, but I have to say that I am not seeing the "addiction" part. I plant my stuff and then . . .? I guess that it is pretty good in that it doesn't suck a ton of my time. There is only so much that I can do? Maybe I am missing something? I think I am at level 8 and I just keep planting things and harvesting, selling,and visiting all my neighbor's farms to work and earn money/points.

I also tried the Facebook Restaurant game but it was annoying and pointless.

Give yourself a few more levels and a few more neighbors. Trust me on this. It was a cute little diversion for me up until about level 10 maybe level 12. Then I started gaining more seeds to plant and things to buy, and level 15 you can start buying more land. The beauty of FT IMO is that You DON'T have to spend a lot of time, but then you get sucked in and you WANT to And you can keep redoing your farms until the cows come home from the neighbors Later tonight I'm going to revise my farm and hopefully get it most of the way I want until I have no more land to buy.

BTW if you need neighbors or buddies to work your farm then look me up in the DISFarmers group.

This game got to be more fun once I had enough $ to plant larger fields and really design the farm. Them set up patterns in the fields. Now I am maxed out on the size of my lot and just play to chat. I have met some really nice people of the Dis on there!

Same here. I do alot of other things on the web while letting someone harvest. Another favorite of mine, Hiring somone to plow then going to bed. Its such a treat to get up and have a whole plowed feild.
