I know I really want to send gifts to farmtown people.

I don't know what's up with the gift thing. Three times this past week I got a message that I had sent out all of my gifts for the day when I hadn't sent any.
Strange.

That happened to me, too!!! It was the message the first time I had logged on in the morning. Weird. I know I hadn't sent anywhere near the max the day before.

On another note, I am LOVING the new updates!!! Love to hire someone to plow, it makes it so efficiant! I've tried to hire a couple of you ladies, but you disapear right after! Bummer! My peppers and carrots I planted the other night when they were new are now ready to be harvested...quite colorful!!!

Didn't see about the hiring friends to plow thing yet - that's cool.

Unless my ROI calculations are incorrect Carrots are now the best in terms of ROI, even better than Pumpkins. Of course, I am not high enough yet to know the cost/return on Peppers, Blueberries, or Pineapples, so that might change.

From my calculations, Peppers bring in by far the most. I'm not sure yet about blueberries or pineapple yet. The Peppers that were harvested for me and sold today earned me 92 coins per plot per day after the purchasing and plowing costs.

I have a question if you guys could help me out....

The past couple of times that I have been to the Market to sell my crops, I always come back home and find strangers in my yard! Usually like 3 or 4. I don't talk to anyone while at the Market - just sell the crops. I have to click on each person and put them on Ignore to get them to go away.

How do these people end up in my yard?

Just hit your refresh and they will be gone.

Quite a few of us have posted in the Who's Who topic in the group. You have to add people as your facebook friends before you can add them as neighbors in the game.

You can send me a friend request. Just Note you're a Farmtown DISer so I can accept you.

I'm sure it's explained here but 34 pages is pretty daunting to dig through. Can someone explain how this is done? Please? Thanks so much!

ETA: I know how to add friends and neighbors and such. I just don't know how to find Dis friends and neighbors on Farm Town

This thread started my horrible Farm Town addiction!!

I had SO many FB friends playing and then I saw this thread. So, last weekend I had a few free minutes so I thought I'd check it out.

That was the beginning of the end!

But I blame you folks.

I leveled up to 21 this morning and my clicking finger is flat worn out from working!! But I can't seem to help myself...

Why does working when I'm not working appeal to me so dang much???

Not really. There's a person on there whose name just shows up in black lettering for me, no link. I show up the same for her. We're still trying to figure out how to get our names as links to become neighbors. Weird! I just changed my settings yesterday, so I hope the next time she checks, it will work. I've tried searching the entire site by her name and by her e-mail address. It tells me no such person.

Are you even sleeping? I've been on about a month and just leveled up to 22 on friday night? I plant, I harvest, I earn coins. Are you like buying everything in sight to level up?

You got it right - I'm spending WAY too much time on here and have worked tons of jobs When I realized that I could gain xp points by buying stuff, I spent everything I had!

Now that you can plow other people's field for xp points, I racked 'em up pretty quick!!

DD just started yesterday and she's now a Level 11. The Farm Town addiction gene runs in the family!

I have noticed a couple of people where their names are black. I think your's was one of them. It's now showing blue for me. So your changed must have helped.

You have to add the Dis person as a friend on your FB account. If you are concerned about people seeing too much of your profile and such go to your Privacy Settings and set up Lists. You can limit each lists to what those people can see about you. When you accept a new friend then you add them to the appropriate list.

I think facebook was hiccupping on the gift thing the past couple of days. It does happen once in awhile.

For those who don't know how to send a gift, the gifting page usually loads for me when I first open Farm Town for the day AND haven't sent gifts to all my neighbors. From there you just click what you want to send and to whom.

As an alternative method, you can also go from the neighbors link that shows at the top left of the page as you are playing the game. It pulls up a page with all your neighbors in boxes. In the box should be an option to send that neighbor a gift. click and you get the gift choices.

Most of us are finding DIS friends right from this thread. Send a PM to someone you want as your friend to find out their facebook info. so you can search for each other on facebook and add each other. There is also a DIS fan page on facebook that you can do a search for. Some people are finding their neighbors through that page. You do have to add anyone from here as a friend before they can be your Farm Town neighbor.

I play Farmville too, but prefer Farm Town at this point. I don't like that you have to do all the farming yourself and the graphics are too cartoony for me. Whoever saw a sheep the same size as a tree or farmstand?

I have had so much fun when there have been several of us on a farm at one time and just end up chatting after all the harvesting is done. It's great to be able to chat with people that know was DH, DD and so on actually mean.
