To all VMK fans out there,
The day has finally arrived. After today, VMK will most likely be no more. I want to thank all of you. All of the traders, collectors, gamers, princesses, pirates, builders, winners, losers, friends, guests, staff members, community leaders, npcs, testers, noobs, those here from day one, those born in park, VIPs, questers, experts and just about everyone. All of you have made VMK what it is.
I did not start from day one, but I was pretty close. During my first few months of playing, I was completely addicted to the game. I spent days trying to get beta items and the infamous Lion Pin. I remember my first game room. I built a very lame (by today's standards) Everest Mountain. My room was normally on the top of the list with a pretty big queue. VMK_Red walks in and said nice room and gave me a Lion Pin. This is my favorite VMK memory.
Soon after, I was on VMK daily. VMK became a part of my life. I was on during the holidays, on vacation, and at work. I became an overall collector on VMK. My goal was to collect one of every item on VMK. I was very close, but unfortunately I was not successful. BUT, that did not matter in the least bit. The memories of trading and playing with friends was the best.
Although I am sad that VMK is leaving, I will always have the memories. Don't be mad that VMK is going. Think of it as an opportunity to try something new. I have already picked up a new hobby fill in the gaps in my day that VMK will leave behind.
I will miss VMK, but mostly I will miss all of you that made this wonderful experience possible. I will not disappear like VMK. DarthJLC is a real person and I will be around after VMK. Feel free to contact me anytime on Disboards.com. Good bye for now.
