Looks amazing. Can't wait to see it, even if it isn't until our visit next year. Keeping my fingers crossed for a sneak peak while we are there in three weeks though!

You just made my day a little brighter! Thanks for posting that Link Robo!! Just what I needed today...a little pixie dust!pixiedust:

Yaaaaayyyy!!!! :cool1::cool1: Keeping my fingers crossed soft openings will still be going on when we are there in 3 weeks- I so want to be able to see some of the new FL area (almost considered getting an AP just to do the preview the first weekend)...

Wish it had been a week ago! Now I have to wait til May. I figured it would be soon. While I was waiting in my corral for the Tower of Terror 10 miler I was chatting with a MK cast member who works in Fantasyland. She said she had been asked to pick up an extra shift the next day because the new Fantasyland was opening. She told them no since she would be out all night for the race. We made a b-line to Fantasyland the next morning only to find a big nothing. Everyday we were there I stalked these boards because I knew when it opened I'd read it here.

Woo hoo! Thanks for posting! Curious whether they allowed random visitors in, or if it was a press / blogger / media thing?

We'll also be there in less than a week, so I'm REALLY hoping we can see something in Fantasyland!!

This appears to be them letting in random visitors, not a special event. Who knows if it will be the same next week.

We are going to WDW next Thurs for 2 weeks. Would be great to see this new area as we won't be back for at least 2 years. So, how do these soft openings work? How often are they likely to be? How do you find out? Open to all guests? What times of day? Etc.

I'll be there in 8 days! I so hope that at least this much (if not more) is open!! :cheer2::cheer2:

Thanks for the look! We just missed it. :sad1:

In looking at the pictures I was slightly disturbed to see Ariel the mermaid stuck to the front of the ship. :confused3

I understand the concept of the figurehead on a ship and even that it could resemble Ariel, but to me it just looked like she was nailed there. :scared:

Neat. Sucks that it'll probably all be shuttered again between now and the real opening in November...thus I won't see anything on my late October trip.

We got to do Enchanted tales with Belle when we were there for the Ten Miler. We asked the CM at the construction door if we could go in and he said yes. This was weds 10/3. I know people had been let in days and weeks before as well. You had to know to go ask. We met a family who had asked tons of cm's at different attractions (philharmagic, pooh, peter pan) and they all said nada, knew nothing. When indeed if you knew to ask, you were golden.

We have a ressie for BOG for the Princess half!!!!!!

What an amazing and detailed place! This is making me wait for February even more harder!

I'm disappointed that you're intentionally giving website traffic to a website that knew to have it's photographers onsite prior to 9am to photograph the location but at the same time didn't inform its followers of the soft opening schedule which they obviously knew about beforehand.

It's all about getting the scoop and site hits for ad revenue, not sharing accurate or timely information, and you're feeding into that.

We just rode Mermaid and walked through Gastons Tavern now sitting outside the gift shop soaking it up. So much fun!

What kind of stuff was available in the gift shop? Anything LM?

The photos look amazing - and again it looks like Disney did it right with theming and landscaping. :worship: I can't wait to see it in person! :cool1:
