Fantasyland Expansion Plans Leaked


Disney has leaked what appears to be very real blueprints laying out all the new ‘attractions’ planned for an expanded Fantasyland at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. This plan matches information from other sources. This suggests it’s not something fan created and is actually from the halls of WDI in Glendale. Now the question is, has all this been approved for construction? If so we should start seeing bulldozers pushing dirt as soon as October. Don't believe that any of this is true until we do.

So what will the expanded area consist of? It remakes everything from where the current Little Mermaid meet and greet is, moves Dumbo, and goes back to the service road all the way across to the existing Toon Town Fair tents. The only attraction that will remain from the existing Toon Town is Goofy’s Barnstormer. Dumbo will now be located across from the Barnstormer and will be expanded to two spinners doubling the capacity of that popular attraction.

Been reading a bit about it last few days, not sure what to believe.

I have been reading about it too, but as a lot of the plans seem to be creating areas for meet and greets for the Princesses which isn't that thrilling. The new restaurant seems like a good idea though and it will be interesting to see how the Little Mermaid ride compares to the one at DCA when that is complete. Also these plans seem to indicate the Mickey and Minnies houses will have to be removed, I'm not sure it is a good idea to make the main mice homeless!

I'm not too keen on it personally because I like the current Fantasyland, but I suppose things have to change at some point, otherwise we wouldn't have half of the great attractions in WDW at the moment I'll be interested to see if these plans do actually come into being, and how long it's going to take to do it all...

Well I think it would be good thing

I've always felt disappointed with Fantasy Land but never really been able to put my finger on why, just never really done anything for me.

I think I always expected more and felt on my first visit that just this one area was a bit of any anti-climax

So hope its true
