For anyone wondering how the dragon in FantasyLand actually flies, it is not a hang glider like Pete was saying on the podcast. It is actually a type of aircraft called an ultralight. If you do a search for an image of an ultralight, you can see how Pete would mistake it for a hang glider.

Spoiler....Look below

I was so happy that Pete confirmed the sighting of the dragon that night! We took our time getting home that evening after the park closed to regular guests and as we were traveling i looked in MK's direction and saw something up in the sky. Because we had been hearing about dragon sightings that week I immediately told my daughter that's what it was...she of course gave me that "sure right Mom look" that any 15 year old has perfected, so I was thrilled to hear I might be right!

Anyone have any idea what it will be for? Too much money in that for a one time thing (as one web site I saw suggested). Would it be for Avatar Land?

I was going to post this yesterday after hearing the podcast, but forgot about it. I did tweet Pete, Corey, and Dustin. I'm just curious how they muffled the noise of the motor, because they can be kind of noisy. We have them fly over our home quite often in the summer time.

they probably just turned up the bgm in the area

Dragons can fly. They flap their wings and then coast.

Duh.

Flying reindeer...that's magic.

I was wondering the same thing. Did they try to tie it in to New Fantasyland at the Opening?
