I am almost embarrassed to ask this question; I have been to Disney eight times (ninth in Nov - hurrah) and have never had a GMFL breakfast.

I don't even know how it works.

Can someone please explain it to me? Where do you eat, what do you get? What benefit is there in doing it?

I don't think we can even get it if we stay at the DLH, is that right?

I'm just fed up with not knowing what you're all talking about!

TIA,
EK

It's available for guests who are staying at Santa Fe, Cheyenne and Sequoia Lodge and (I believe) was brought in to alleviate the crowds for breakfast at those hotels. There's only a certain number of GMFL breakfasts available each day and these seem to be only available at check-in now whereas once upon a time you could book them in advance. The advantage is that if you have a GMFL breakfast you can get into the park early and get a couple of Fantasyland rides done before the masses although this doesn't really apply now with EMH every morning, although it's still a good way of getting some rides done and then having breakfast which some people may prefer to do, especially if they don't particularly like eating early.

I think breakfast is of Sequoia Lodge standard which is why it isn't offered to DLH or Hotel New York guests and is usually in Au Chalet de Marionette, Pizzeria Bella Notte or the other day someone had one in Plaza Gardens.

I've never had it myself but I hope I've managed to explain it clearly enough!:goodvibes

ETA: Just realised I don't know if Newport Bay guests can partake or not ~ I'm sure someone will soon be along to clarify.

Yes, I think Newport Bay is included - I'm pretty sure its the 4 hotels, but not the New York or the Disneyland Hotel.

I can confirm that based upon my trip last week Newport Bay is included in the Fantasyland Breakfast (though the voucher lists the breakfast as "Disney Morning") along with Cheyenne, Santa Fe and Sequoia.

The breakfast consisted of: croissants, pain avec chocolate (I think that is what it is called - pastry with chocolate inside), cereal, nutella, fruit salad, milk, coffee, orange juice. I don't think I missed anything but this is what I remember being offered.

It doesn't sound like much but it was enough to energize me for a day of park activities.

How was the GMFL breakfast? Last time I used it (2005) it was awful and a total waste of time due to a lack of seating and lack of food and it really spoilt the start of the day for me, although we did get to ride Peter Pan twice before the crowds decended!

I had GMFL breakfast on tuesday in Chalet Marionette. It was great, same food exactly as Sequoia Lodge, a lot busier than SL (but we ate at 7am in SL and 8.45 for GMFL) but it gave us an extra 45 minutes lie in!
