Losing another hour hadn't helped the jet lag at all and by 6:00 both of us had given up trying to sleep. Dad got up and I spent some time on my iPad and watching the TV before getting up at 6:30. After a wash and shave I found that Father Christmas had been.

At 7:30 we went up to Cabanas for breakfast, then went back to the cabin to pick up our bits and pieces and from there to the Buena Vista Theater to watch The Muppets, which we both really enjoyed.

After the film we had a look around the shops and then went down to the future cruise sales desk to get a quote for the Transatlantic cruise next year. The quote was higher than we expected, but more about that later.

Next we went up to get a drink and sat in the adult only area thinking about other options for another cruise. Looking at the itineraries we decided that we would get a quote for a back to back cruise of the Wonder repositioning cruise from Los Angeles to Vancouver followed by an Alaska cruise.

Around 12:00 we went to Cabanas for lunch and then down to the cabin where I began sorting out my fish extender gifts and who was going to get what as I had pens, bottle openers, bubbles and yo-yos to give out to different cabins. We also had some more gifts in our fish extender.

By the time I had done that it was time to go back up to the Buena Vista Theater for a presentation by the Disney artist, Don 'Ducky' Williams. He did some sketches and told the story of how he became a Disney artist and at the end of the presentation all 22 sketches that he had done were raffled off, but we weren't lucky enough to get one.

While we had been waiting for the presentation to start I had been thinking about the quote that we got earlier and how the quote for the other crises might compare and I suddenly realised that when I had priced up the transatlantic cruise I had got the price in Pounds but the quote we got today would have been in Dollars, so the two were actually near enough the same. We decided to get the other quote anyway and so after the presentation we went down and had another look around the shops and then went back up to the future cruise sales desk. The quote for the back to back came out at almost twice the price of the transatlantic so we put down a deposit for the TA and all we have to do now is try and find some cheap one way flights to Galveston for next year.

Future cruise booked we went up to deck 11 to get a drink, which we took back down to the cabin where we relaxed for a while.

At 5:45 we went down to take our seats in the Walt Disney Theater for the Aladdin show - this is a new live production show for the Fantasy and it was fantastic so do go to see it if you ever get the chance. Before the show started Tom Staggs - Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts - came out to welcome us on the maiden voyage and introduced the Captain who in turn introduced the senior officers.

Tonight was formal night so after the show we went upstairs to get changed and we found yet more fish extender gifts.

We then went down to La Piazza where Dad had an Escalus and I moved on to Bellini because the Escalus was too bitter for me.

At 8:15 we went in for dinner which tonight was in the Royal Court restaurant.

Dad and I both had the exact same order, which was duck breast to start, followed by French onion soup (why do they put this on the menu on formal night when there is no civilised way of eating it!) and wild boar for main course. For dessert Dad had souffle and I had peanut butter mousse.

After dinner we went back to La Piazza for another Escalus and Bellini, then it was back to the cabin and in bed by 11:00 ready for our day at Grand Cayman tomorrow.

No DJs this time so we were only in shirt and tie (and trousers of course ;) ). We did almost buy the photo that was taken at dinner but we chose two others instead.

Wowser on those fish extender gifts.....I don't think I could participate in that, I'd end up putting myself under too much pressure trying to match the gifts that we received LOL
