Fantasy Stuck at A Coruna - port cancelled

I'm so sorry that happened to you. There's nothing wrong with a mostly Norwegian cruise if that's what you were planning but when it's dumped in your lap at the last minute it's a huge disappointment. It must be extremely frustrating for anyone who had private excursions booked.
I hope you were able to still enjoy the ports you visited.
We did a Northern Europe cruise in 2019 that stopped at Stavanger and we really enjoyed it. There were so many excursions we wanted to do there we could have used another day there.

Ha! The funny thing was that we were booked on a B2B, the second of which was- Norway... We had a few overlapping ports, which was fine. We chose to make the best of it. And we got to explore even more. It was our 40th anniversary. We had an amazing time. We willingly signed that cruise contract-as we all do. Grateful they took us somewhere! I wish DCL had offered some sort of future cruise discount or something. But they did not, which was the most disappointing part, for us. The weather/seas, weren't great-which they can not control. It is hard to be miserable on a cruise. We have great memories and Norway is spectacular. No regrets.

A friend of mine on the current transatlantic cruise texted me that they will be getting a day at Castaway Cay on Saturday to make up for the missed port.

Cruisemapper shows the Fantasy is indeed now heading to Castaway Cay rather than Port Canaveral

The Captain said it took a day to make it happen, including making sure the Fantasy could make it in time! It was announced last night over the PA into all the cabins. I wasn’t in the Atrium at that point but someone said everyone cheered and it sounded like New Years Eve. I like Sea Days but I know this made a lot of people happy. Activities appeared on the App this morning.

A friend of mine on the current transatlantic cruise texted me that they will be getting a day at Castaway Cay on Saturday to make up for the missed port.

Apparently they bumped the Destiny to make it happen. Not that the media people probably care that much. They are on the Destiny for the ship, not the ports.

Apparently they bumped the Destiny to make it happen. Not that the media people probably care that much. They are on the Destiny for the ship, not the ports.

The Destiny changed her itinerary which opened up a spot for the Fantasy. The captain told us this. The Destiny was not bumped.
