Could anyone please give good/bad reviews of Fantasy stateroom 5024? How obstructed is the balcony?
How loud is it being right above Walt Disney Theatre? Thank You!

Check out this video (it’s on the Dream, but they are twin ships).

Starting ~3:30, you can see the balcony.

It‘s a regular or a little smaller size balcony, next to an Extended Balcony, so looking left you don’t have a straight sight line toward the aft of the ship. The cabins looking to your right are flush with the verandah.

Is this being priced as an extended balcony or as a Navigator’s Verandah? The reviews I found have it reviewed as an Extended Verandah (back in 2011). They probably re-categorized it. As a Navigator’s Verandah, it’s a decent balcony. There are no obstructions in the upper corners.

As for noise, your cabin will be over the part of the stage furthest from the guests / towards the front of the ship. (Ignore the “Buena Vista” label - it is the Walt Disney Theater.)

Your cabin will be in the darker space in the upper left corner of this picture. That should be the back of the stage. Do they set the speakers that far away from the audience?

Some people are bothered by the sounds of children in the hallways as they head toward Vibe youth club at 5 Forward.

This is not an ideal cabin for some, but it does offer a balcony at a reduced price. (The more expensive cabin next door still has the children in the halls.)

Did you book a GTY or VGT cabin? Or is this just an option you are considering?

As any type of guaranty, this seems like a reasonable assignment. There are those who would specifically book it to get a balcony on Deck 5 at the lowest price.

If you picking a cabin and are wanting great views and lack of sound (other than neighbors), you should look at other cabins.

Thank You! I had looked and there was one on there of the Dream-which would basically be the same but it was from 2016. Hopefully someone will have a newer one!

This is now categorized as a 7A. I typically sail 7A on decks 7 or 9 forward but this is a last minute cruise and all the 7A's forward are taken.I was hoping this room wasn't too bad since its a lot cheaper than the category 5"s on the upper decks! I really appreciate all the help.

We stayed in 5026 - right next to this cabin on the fantasy for an 8 night cruise. We had the first extended balcony and could look directly into the very small verandah on this cabin. We felt really bad for the family who tried to use that verandah. After seeing that balcony up close, it went on my list of cabins I never want to sail in.

And zero noise from the theater below.

We stayed in 5526, which is exactly like 5026 on the starboard side. From our extended balcony, we could see deep inside 5524 and felt it was the stateroom with the least privacy you could get because of that. Unlike a normal verandah room with dividers on both sides, the neighbor doesn’t have to make an unusual effort to see right up to the bathroom door, if the curtains are open. Like PP, we told ourselves we would never stay in 5024 or 5524.

But, unlike PP, we had noise bleeding in from the theatre during movies and production shows. We had early seating and a young kid that took naps and went to bed early during that cruise, so we were in the room at odd times and often skipped the evening show. We couldn’t make out the dialog of the movies and shows, but we certainly heard the bass. We also coud tell when Buckets & boards were practicing and doing their show.
