Fantasy Springs is opening June 6th 2024

Those were our 3 choices 2 weeks ago. The gauze blanket is cute and comes in its own little tote bag. The regular tote bag is a nice bag that is lined. I wasn't personally thrilled with any of the choices. My nephew chose the blanket and I chose the tote bag. They let us look at them before choosing what we wanted.

Does anyone know if Anna, Elsa, Rapunzel, etc are still appearing in Fantasy Springs as roaming characters? Or was that only something that happened for the opening day/s?

If they have been appearing, is there a general area and/or time they're most likely to be found?

I only saw them on opening day but they mostly hang out in the "springs" area near the hotel and gift shop. In the morning, they had free greetings while by the afternoon, there were dedicated lines. I never saw them during the previews but my entry times were always around 3PM or later so my guess is that they had just left by the time I finished my ride or were "morning only" on those days because I did see photos of them on twitter during the previews.

This is a question more for vacation package:

Can you get the included breakfast refunded?

I'd rather eat lunch if possible (at another place)

Here a brief overview of our experience with Fantasy Springs without Vacation Package or Happy 15.

First day at Disney Sea (6/12) was our arrival day and we did t get into the park until 12:30 or 1 pm. But we got a lot done! Of course nothing was available for Fantasy Springs. I kept checking the app constantly and saw phantoms of passes pop up that were then never available when I clicked on them. We did ToT as soon as we got there with a 40 minute wait. Did 20000 Leagues with 20 minutes. Then Indy twice with single rider, still a 30 minute wait each. Then had dinner at Horizon Bay. Not exciting, but we got a cute souvenir mug. Afterwards did Journey twice. Wait was posted as 40 minutes, but was a bit shorter as it was during the nighttime show. Afterwards we wanted to head to Soarin, but they had already had closed the line. Then we headed to Toy Story. We originally had no intention on ever doing this, but wanted one last ride for the evening. Park close at 9 pm really cuts into your ability to do anything after the show.

6/13 was TDL. We got there a little before ten and did a million things, including all three parades. We only bought one DPA for Beauty and the Beast.

So, this morning (6/14) my husband could not sleep (jet lag is really getting zombie this time!) and we got out of the Hilton at 5 to 7 am. We got to the park entrance at 7:10 am. First unprocessed to fall down the stairs at the monorail station, which luckily ended up with just a bruised knuckle and no further injury. Then we spent a long long time in the sun waiting for lines to start moving. Once through security where I of course had been taken to the side for further inspection we finally were in the park by 8:39 or so. At least the first Standby Pass was acquired at 8:40 am as the next window opened at 10:40 am. All DPAs were gone by then. Frozen Standby was gone, too. So we got Peter Pan. Our window opened at 10:55 am and that was also the entrance time for the land. We also got a mobile order for the Snuggly Duckling, just dessert and drinks (and the souvenir items) for 12:20 pm. Then we dumbed around a bit. My husband got a DPA for ToT, so we did that and got drinks from a vending machine and sat for a bit as the sun really had taken quite a bit out of us. At 10:40 (I had set an alarm), i rechecked the Standby and nothing was available and Ibrefreshed once and Frozen popped up and I just clicked on it and got it. It was for 11:05. This made for a bit of a tight schedule and we only made it to the Snuggly Duckling at 12:35, outside our official window for the mobile order, but it still worked. So that’s where I am now and now we will head out and explore. Also at 9:30 am Standby was still available for Tinkerbell, Peter Pan and Rapunzel. So, no need to get there super early if you are ok with just seeing the land and doing one attraction. If Frozen is a must, you need to be there well before 7 am!

So, some review now. I also need to go back and eliminate the fun autocorrect typos.

I loved Peter Pan. Minor spoiler about technical stuff: It’s the same ride system as Spider-Man at Universal I thought it was very well done and has some real wow effects for me.

Frozen was extremely well done and is the ride they should have had at Epcot. The animatronics are fantastic and definitely a different league than Anna and Elsa in Florida. The standby line is also so fun to explore.

We waited 35 minutes for Peter Pan (posted 40) and 55 for Frozen (posted 45). We saw the Tinkerbell ride having a 70 minute wait when walking by.

The store had a massive line in the sun, so we didn’t even attempt to enter it.

The springs area was very pretty and fun to explore what you could find there. But it’s not something to repeat every visit.

All in all it’s beautiful and the both rides we did are definitely E-Tickets. Peter Pan could even be in my top 10 rides. BUT it does feel shoehorned into Disney Sea and doesn’t fit that park at all in my opinion. It also breaks with the multi-level design and kinetic energy that to me are things that make Disney Sea so unique.

New development: we are back at the hotel and my husband just for fun looked at the app thinking if we should buy a priority pass for something tonight if anything is still available. And then there are two DPAs for Peter Pan available. At 3:50 pm for 5:55 pm. Not all expected, but we took it! Of course instead of walking through then Fantasy Springs Hotel - a 10 minute walk, we have to do the trek via the monorail and the long walk from the front… 🤣

They definitely did put out more standby passes today - or more DPA. Wait times for the land were really low for the previous lands, but today got really long. Frozen at one point was at 80 minutes, Tinkerbell at 75, the other two at 65. It seemed to get longer and longer as the day went on. When we went in again for our second time on Peter Pan the lines for Frozen and Rapunzel were wrapping around the land.

Also: yes, if you have a second pass, you can reenter. They scan your Stamdby pass or DPA. In the evening the lines to get bro the land got very long. Lots of people also confused about the whole entry pass system.

Are the posted waits for the Standby Pass line or DPA line?

Standby, I confirmed through going through the standby and the wait times were very accurate. Overall wait times at TDR are so much more accurate than the US parks, all of mine were within 5-10 minutes.

Yes. That’s our experience as well. Frozen was longer today and so was Soarin tonight after Believe. But only by 10 minutes in both cases. Otherwise wait times were very good!

They are also definitely only displayed at the standby entrance.

I found the standby times intermittently displayed in the app! Though often not for the first hour or so of opening, and not 100% of the time even after that. They don't show in the map view either, only in the list view. That was one of the oddities with the TDR app, though I had far fewer issues with the app compared to what I was expecting.

Wow crowds are low these days. It's weird to think that after Fantasy Springs opening, you can now expect to be able to go on Soaring after Believe. Before this month, I don't think I've ever seen the queue not get cut before the show was over except maybe on super cold, low crowd days in February.

I feel like this trip gave me very unrealistic expectations for the next time I go to TDR :hyper: . It was so much quieter and easier to tour than the US parks, and I only visit those in lower times as well. I heard Golden Week was generally pretty quiet this year as well, so just an oddball of a year I guess.
