A bomb went off. :scared1:
I was there on friday damn it was ugly.
I sure hope this does not last too long.

Yeah we were there a couple weeks ago, and it was strange to see mounds of dirt over the walls by Dumbo, but i'm sure it will be well worth it in the future!

FWIW. In California Adventure thier Little Mermaid ride was started about 6 months before and the building looks like a real building. I'd hope that in Florida they will get the concrete flowing and start putting up steel in haste.

It's terrible they didn't build the contruction walls 25 feet high so you can't see all the crap back behind it.

You have to break some eggs to make an omelette...

Much better things are coming.

Yep. No pain, no gain in this case.

If they'd have built the walls higher you'd have just as many people complaining about not being able to see anything for a sneak peek...

I've seen ariel shots (no pun intended :) ) of the area behind the walls. They are moving dirt fast in HUGE piles!

My thoughts exactly. :thumbsup2

Disney is doing what they do best. Once they are done with project we will all be in awe and greatful that we have endured trips during construction to see the phase by phase process. I am actually excited to see what the process looks like when I go in October.

I feel for those families that are going on what could possibly be their only WDW trip but I think WDW does pretty good at hiding, masking, or blending in their construction walls. And there is still so much to do that it shouldn't but a huge damper on anyones trip - at least I hope nobody would allow it to bother them to that exent.

Found this on another website and had to share.

apparently, some of the Disney characters are having a good time behind the Fantasyland expansion walls. :rotfl:

Like a good Dis-er I took some pics while riding Dumbo today with my kids (luckily this was before the torrential downpours started!). There were a few circus tents set up and then huge mounds of dirt. When I get a chance to upload my pics, I'll post them.
