Fantasy June 25 2016 Western Carribbean

My Dad and I will be traveling on this cruise! We are very excited! This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise, and I'll be celebrating my College Graduation on this vacation! All of our shore excursions are booked through Disney.

We have done a Western Caribbean Cruise before, but went to different ports of call. We have never been to Grand Cayman or Jamaica. Has anyone been to these ports of call? What did you think?

Just booked and very excited! Last Disney cruise was about 6 years ago so really looking forward to cruising with Disney again. Any more active groups?

Hello! We are taking our first cruise with a 9 yr old boy and 7 yr old girl! We would love to do the FE too, but I am having no luck finding a group on any site?
My husband and I are signed up through a FB page called "Disney Fantasy - June 25, 2016" set up by Tracy Coffman, there has now been a second Fish Extender Group set up on there. Currently we only have 3 families signed up (including mine), once it reaches 10-15 families it will close. I hope this helps and I hope to see that you have joined. Happy Cruising! Andrea

You are aware that links or search directions to other social media sites are not allowed? Here's the sticky with the policy (from the main Cruise Meet page):
http://www.disboards.com/threads/im...uise-meet-and-fish-extender-programs.3353477/

FE groups on other sites are not DISboards connected. DISboards administrators prefer DISboards Cruise Meet threads, as well as Fish Extender groups, to be handled on DISboards.

Info for setting up a group here on DISboards can be found on post #9 on page one of this thread.

I'm sorry didn't mean to do anything wrong, I am very excited about our cruise and I just thought I could help someone out. I to have been searching for a FE group and had been finding it very difficult to locate one. Still not real sure how to navigate this site. I will stick to only reading post from now on:worried:

Sorry, no need to fall back into lurk-dom (how's that for a fancy word?).

Cruise meet threads are for all sorts of discussions about your upcoming cruise. This includes excursions; activities onboard; pre and post cruise plans; setting up group events (mixology/tastings/room tours/whatever); as well as setting up Fish Extender groups.

There is no FE group here on DISboards for this cruise.

I posted a suggested procedure for handling a Fish Extender group here on DISboards (post #9). DISboards administrators prefer DISboards cruise meet groups, as well as Fish Extenders to be handled on DISboards. There are many other sites that people on cruises frequent, and some of them also set up FE groups. But links to them are not allowed.

Please don't fade away. One reason this board isn't very active is so many people think they don't understand how to navigate it. It's really easy - just find a thread you're interested in and post comments on it.

@PrincessShmoo thank you for your past activity in assisting with pointing out the rules. The cruise boards are now being actively monitored and moderated and this is no longer necessary :)

:welcome: to the DISboards. Please don't feel like you cannot actively participate in any thread here, you are very welcome :)

However, it is contrary to DIS guidelines to register and post here expressly for the purpose of pointing people to another site (be it Facebook or elsewhere). You are very welcome to participate in the discussion here though.

I've been to both. Grand Cayman is a very nice island which requires tendering. A visit to Stingray City is popular as are trips to 7 Mile Beach (which can be done by grabbing a cab at the port).

I don't find Jamaica quite as scenic of an island. There is a lot of poverty there. This time we are hiking up Dunn Rivers Falls and doing the bobsled after. It should be fun. I definitely recommend an excursion on this island. I see there is shopping at the new port (Falmoth) but not much else.

We spend a week in Runaway Bay the end of March and went to Dunn River Falls which was awesome. We are on the June 25 Disney cruise with our grand-daughter and will be doing this excursion with her throught the cruise line.

Is there a fish FE group for this cruise? This is our first Disney cruise with our 9yr old grand-daughter and this is her first cruise. We have already done cruises on other ships.

If you read post #20 you'll find the answer to your question.

Also, post #9 has info about setting a FE group here.

Awesome! Thanks for the info! My Dad and I decided on our excursions. We are doing the Rum Point Beach Adventure in Grand Caymen, Passion Island by Twister in Cozumel, and I am doing the Tranopy Adventure in Jamaica (ski-lift, bobsled, and zip-lining). I heard about Dunn's River Falls and have always wanted to do it, but I read many reviews saying it wasn't safe. That scared me away from that excursion. Really looking forward to this cruise though!

We are a family of 5....3 kids ages 22,19 and 11. We are celebrating our son's college graduation. This is our second cruise but the first one was 13 years ago.
