Fantasy January 23, 2016- STAR WARS

I mostly do okay with my knee. Stairs, going down, and down hills are the worst. So is cold weather, humid weather, and random Tuesdays, but what can you do?

We have nothing planned for Cozumel. I'm hoping to go to the Cinco Soles and Pancho's Backyard within it for food. The previous times I've been we were much further away from the downtown area but one time we went to Tulum and the other we... did kind of nothing. :)

It's my husband and myself. I convinced my friend and her husband to join us. They took their first cruise, also with us, in 2014 on RCI's Oasis of the Seas, so this will be quite a different experience for them!
Sarbah77, I'm signed up for the Tulum tour. Did you think it was worth it? The last time I was In Cozumel Tulum was booked up before I had a chance. The first time my wife, now ex, and I just walked around and went to Hard Rock for lunch. She wasn't much for Mexico.

We LOVED Tulum. LOVED it. We're going on a family cruise in July, so we're postponing a second trip until then.

It was a 45 minute high speed catamaran ride (be prepared for motion sickness), a short walk, and then an hour or so on the bus. Once off the bus, the bathrooms are in a jewelry store where, you know, aggressive but polite salespeople. Then another 10 minute walk or a couple dollar (cash only!) tram ride to the actual ruins. Our tour, with RCI, provided us with personal headsets so that we didn't have to crowd around our tour guide as he talked to us about what we were looking at. We then had some time to wander around on our own, before meeting back at the bus. It was gorgeous.

The driver and the tour guide expected tips, just an FYI. :)

First snow of the season! We're in the "hmm perhaps 6-10 inches of snow?" band.

Nine weeks until we board! (hahaha)

We had some big snow flakes this am but nothing stuck. It's about 39 degrees in Toledo, brrrrr

We're holding steady at 33! Looks like the snow has paused. Stopped? Anyway, nothing white falling from the sky at the moment. I am "stuck" at home, knitting. Darn. ;) (I did want to go buttons for a sweater I just finished, but later for sure)

Thank you for the enthusiastic response. Being old I like to wander through other folks ruins'.

I will be prepared for the tips (How much is normal and should it be USD?) I already know there will be an additional cost for using my cameras.

FE UPDATE!

Ok sorry to keep everyone waiting. As of this morning all three FE groups are FULL. I'm going to be stop taking sign up for the normal FE groups at this time. I can start a pixie dust list for any late comers if you want. Here are the final lists for The Jedi Knights, The Rebel Alliance, and the Empire.
It would appear my problem was going to the page 2 link which doesn't work. This one does. HMwinter, thanks for all your enthusiastic work.

They'll never say no to USD. :) I think it's up to you - we did $5/person for the bus driver and $10/person for the tour guide. On the other hand, we were caught off-guard by the expectation of tips, if that makes sense, this was our first longer Caribbean cruise!

The only cost is for video camera. There was no additional fee for still photos!

I can see the camera policy changing because almost all cellphones and still cameras are capable of taking video. My old, about 5 years, Fujifilm Z37 pocket camera takes great video.

We have snow sticking now, boo. I'm not a fan of snow, I hate driving in it.

You knit a sweater???

we ended up with about 2 inches of that white stuff here. DS loved it though. This is the first winter where he is really old enough to go out and play in the snow. And I enjoyed watching him and his dad from the window.

Smart watching from the window!!!

I leave for California tomorrow to spend Thanksgiving with my kids and grand-kids.10 days after I return it's off to Galveston for a Wonder 7 day cruise, About 36 days after that (12/22) it's off to WDW for one night then the Fantasy SWDAS cruise. After the cruise it will be 7 nights at Boardwalk Resort WDW. I haven't thought much past that. Even My Disney Experience is getting confused!

I sure did! It's nice and warm. I wore it yesterday to work. Today, no sweater and I am cold at work.

@hmwinter85 - we ended up with 10 inches of snow. Blech. At least, since it was sunny, a lot melted on Sunday!

I want to see a picture of this sweater! I'm very impressed!

Is there a thread mixology class scheduled at all? I know last year on our cruise someone in the thread set one up, but we booked the cruise 5wks out, so we were too late to join.
