This just came over from shoreside moments ago.

Teacups have been removed from Enchanted Gardens but the reason is to provide additional space to potentially allow characters to come through the dining rooms. This is one of the creative ways they are trying to provide a chance to guests to "meet" the characters.

Main dining will have 3 arrival times per seating. There will be 3 times during Early and 3 times during Late dining. Timing will be assigned a couple days prior to sailing and be on your Key to the World card.

Hmmm..... that's how it was done when we started cruising DCL. 3 staggered seatings at each dining time.

I agree, but I'm ok with majority rules I guess. I always find it awkward as an adult - either trying to interact or being ignored it never feels "right". :tilt:
Yes, I like characters and enjoy meeting them. I just don't want them everywhere. I liked that the Dream class had two out of three MDRs being peaceful and quiet, and only one "fun" & loud MDR. The characters are all around the ship, so there's plenty of other opportunities to interact with the characters without having your dinner disturbed.

I dislike being harassed (YEAH. I SAID IT.) by Crush during dinner in Animators but enjoyed Rapunzel's on the Magic (even though it was LOUD) and I'm looking forward to Tiana's on the Wonder. Both restaurants seem to be the most popular MDR's on any ship. If Frozen keeps the same atmosphere as Rapunzel's then I think it will be another favorite.

Like what you said above, I like a balance in the dining rooms. If they are all loud then I'm out.

Tiana's can be very loud, as in you can not hear the person next to you. We've had that experience and try to get seated away from the stage and off to one side. The food is great but the band and Tiana singing "give it their all" and it's loud.

It more a wave and walk than what’s being assumed above. It’s a long stretch to call it ‘character dining’
I hope so. Like I said, I don't hate characters, I really like them. But I also want peaceful dinners most nights. The meals on a cruise are so nice, I'd like to enjoy them in peace. Often when characters come in at WDW restaurants for the wave & walk (like at Be Our Guest and at Topolino's Terrace breakfast), they tend to play loud music to draw everyone's attention to the characters. I hope DCL skips the loud music and just lets the characters walk quietly in.

I actually think this is a GREAT idea, it would help keep those of us who cruise without kiddies from being ignored.

I have to be honest, I just want to eat in peace. A quick walk through is about all I could take. Perhaps they could put little lights on the tables and if you are interested in being 'approached' you could turn it on and if you just want to focus on your lava cake, you could leave it turned off?
