Hi Shookfamily, we were also too late for the first FE group. We are interested in a new group as well. This is also our first cruise so we don't know the particulars of what to do? Can someone explain the particulars? Are there any others that want to join?

HI All you have to do is post that you are starting a FE and see who signs up. they have to give you their room #, names of everyone in it and ages. Then you have to keep those in your group up to date about the group, then pick a close date so there is time for people to buy gifts. I posted what examples of gifts are. Let me know if you need anymore info.

WHAT IS THE FE ???

What’s a fish extender?
On the Disney Cruise Line, each of the staterooms has a small silver fish or seahorse to the right or left of the door. Usually, it’s used to hold invitations, receipts, and correspondence during your cruise, but those participating in a Disney cruise fish extender exchange hang a bag or special holder to the “fish” to serve as a mailbox. If you want to participate, you sign up, provide your information and stateroom number, and make little goodies for each person or each cabin.

What to give for fish extender gifts.

This is the fun part – the sky is the limit here are some of our favorite fish extender gift ideas:

  • Minnie/Mickey hair accessories
  • Little “nip” bottles of alcohol for mom and dad are NOT allowed anymore due to new liquor rules
  • Magnets to decorate our stateroom door
  • Bubbles
  • Glow sticks for Pirate Night
  • Calendars
  • Pirate eye patches
  • Games
  • Nail accessories
  • Beach items
  • Flashlight
  • Water bottles
  • something from the country you are from
PLEASE INCLUDE ALL FAMILY MEMBERS IN YOUR GIFTS, YOU CAN GO TO MANY WEBSITES FOR IDEAS. YOU CAN DELIVER ONE GIFT PER FAMILY FOR THE WHOLE TRIP OR YOU CAN DELIVER SMALL THINGS EACH DAY- UP TO YOU ! BE CREATIVE AS YOU LIKE - ITS FUN TO COME BACK TO YOUR ROOM AND HAVE A GIFT. DONT FORGET TO GET A DRY ERASE BOARD FOR YOUR DOOR SO PEOPLE CAN LEAVE YOU NOTES !!! PLEASE ENSURE THE NAMES AND AGES ARE RIGHT FOR YOUR FAMILIES TO MAKE IT EASY FOR PEOPLE TO DELIVER TO YOU

Hi DCL fan,

I was wondering if you can fill me in on the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab details. How are the Clubs designed? Are there separate rooms with one drop off? Are the kiddos separated by age? Is there more to the registration process than simply selecting their ages and agreeing to the terms? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Teachey

HI the clubs are awesome ! there is oceaneer club and lab, each are right beside each other but separate entrances. The lab does things like science stuff and other things while the club has computers, all kinds of games and things for the kids to do. you do register them when you get on the boat or online before you go. They also have an open house the first day so the kids can go see what it is all about, then they put a bracelet on each kid. when they go in, they scan them in and when you pick them up they scan them out, you can pick self check in and out or parent check in and out. when you show up they tell you exactly where is each room your kid is as they can track them. you can take them there any time for as long as they want to be there. it allows you some time to yourself. we go for supper then our daughter can't wait to go to club and we enjoy the adult only hot tubs. did you know, the day you get on the boat ONLY you can register for a free amount of internet, instructions will be sent in small print to your door. make sure you read it ! there are tons of different clubs on the boat, each catering to different age groups.

I say we leave it open till maybe around the 12 of Feb and hope we get more to join? If we get more that join sooner we can close it earlier? That said is there any others that want to join? If so let me know room # and names and ages of your group. I will try to log on each day to check.

Hi all! I know this may be a lot to ask but I am working on some handmade personalized fe gifts. If possible can we have everyone confirm the correct spelling of their names & I would LOVE to know everyone's favorite Disney character, if possible, for an added personalized touch to this particular gift. Thanks so much! If u don't respond ill hope ur name is spelled correctly and u will get Mickey or Minnie as ur default.
Thank you all!

Just booked our cruise, Wahoo! We'd love to participate in the FE. Did a new one get started? Second Disney cruise, 1st time on the Fantasy.

Yes a second FE group has started. Reply with your room number, names and ages in your group and I'll add you to the list:-)

FYI...there have been several questions about "formal night", other than Palo or Remy, where suit and tie or dress are required, I have never worn anything more than a polo shirt and slacks to dinner. So if you don't want to pack the "formal" clothes, don't. Of course the "Captain's table" is whole different matter.

Hi DCL fan,
Thanks for all the info!
A question- to get ready in the spa locker room & showers, do u have to have a day or week pass? Have u ever purchased a pass? What does a pass include access too?
Thanks in advance!
Melissa / MommaSiska
