Hello. I am Jenny and my family is booked on the August 9 Fantasy cruise. This is our first cruise and we are very excited. I also will probably have about 1000 cruise questions before we sail so I am excited to get to know all of you and pick your brains if that is ok.

As I said I am Jenny and my husband Rob and I live in upstate NY. My husband is two months from retiring from the US Navy. We have two daughters who will be 17 and 15 at the time of sailing.

Welcome. Glad you get to join us. I bet you are supper excited. The first trip is always the best. This my third but first for Fantasy so that is exciting.

What a nice way for your DH to retire from the Navy by getting on a ship. Your girls will have a great time. Mine did and they were about your girls ages on our first trip.

Hot flash nights works. Don't know about you but hey it happens.

So since booking I have been obsessing over all kinds of things and we have over a year to go. I found were the laundry rooms are, a bit more about my cabin. By the way what have you all booked? We have a 7a 9652.
I have been thinking which excursions to do or not. What spa treatments to try and hope to finally go to palo. Can you believe I haven't try them in the past 2 trips?
I am also really sad I am not doing this with my grandkids and DH. He can't get that much time from work and I can't afford to bring all the grandkids. We will have 4 by this time next year.lol Two of them would be old enough for the kids clubs and they are the ones I want to bring but not alone.

Hot Flashes -

We booked an 8d - 6174 - First time we won't have a verandah. We were originally going to book 2 cat. 11 - since I would really like a virtual porthole, but it was actually much more cost effective to do the 8d. Its close quarters for a family of 5, but we really don't spend much time in the cabin - especially my oldest - .

Maybe next cruise you can bring the grandkids and your DH for a 3 or 4 day!

Hi Jenny! Congratulations to your DH on his upcoming retirement! It seems that there will be lots of girls your daughter's ages on this cruise. My DD's will be 16, and 14 at the time of this next cruise - and my oldest DD's BFF's family is also going to be on this cruise - her friend will be 16 and the younger sister will be 14!

And ask away - I don't think I have a more favorite topic than this one!

Yes I too wondered if a cruise is what he really wanted to do but he is thrilled. He says so long as he does not have to stand watch and he expects the food to me much better.

Oh and my 14 year old would like to know of any of the teen boys are cute. Heaven help us this could explain my husbands greying hair

Haha been there done that. I color my greys.
Well Austin will be 15yrs old, he is tall like 6'1 and he has blond hair and blue eyes but I am pretty sure he hasn't had a girlfriend yet. He is more into video games.

I am told DS is cute. He will be a hair under 15 on the cruise.
