Fantasy Cruise - July 5, 2014

This is our first Disney Cruise and we have an 11 year old (more like a 13 year old) and an 8 year old which are both girls. So excited!

LATE FISH EXTENDER GROUP!

Hi everyone, my name is Mike Phillips. Like many people, I booked this reservation for this cruise just a couple weeks ago.

I'm going to be managing a "Late Fish Extender" group, for those who haven't been able to sign up for one yet.

Just booked this today!!! Can't wait. This will be our 31st DCL cruise and 2nd on the Fantasy. Have no clue what excursions we are going to do. Still can't wrap my head around that we are actually going!!! Yeah.

I do not do FB at all so I will be hanging here for the next two weeks and two days!!

Better late than never you have done #! cruises on DCL!!! wow...Mickey must love you.. So do you cruise with DVC points? I know a few cruisers that have over 2000 points so they cruise like every 6 months

Wonder if we met on another Disney cruise before?

I will come here and visit till we leave...we head out on Thursday AM..

Has everyone else joined the FB page? that is where everyone is....WE are sooooo close...just got done with 85% of the packing....their are 4 of us...Me...DH ...DS 20 and DS 17...it is DS 17th Graduation present...although do we ever really need a reason to sail on DCL...NOPE!

Looks like for the most part we will have sunny skies at all ports...well could not see for CC but ok at the others...may rain when we are at Port Canaveral but it is Florida..it rains on and off......lets just hope it does not for the sail away party right

I have never been on the Fantasy or the Dream...have always sailed on the Magic and Wonder....so really looking forward to checking out the new digs

WE have late dining....and in cabin 7078......we are not doing an excursion through DCL but on our own....Captain Marvin with snorkel and StingRay tour in GC...Paradise Beach in Cozumel...and Jamaica we had the Green Gotto Caves but canceled and may just stay on the ship and ride the water slide....unless last minute we decide to rebook the caves or something else....will also walk around at the port...we have been to Jamaica as well before so we would rather stay on the ship.

How about you?

I am not doing the FE this time.....sad I know...but just did not have time....but I do have all my cabin door magnets done and made the one for this cruise....I will post it so you can print it out for those that are not going over to FB to get it.

Hello All, this will be my wife and i 1st Disney Fantasy Cruise. we are doing the July 5th one on the Western Caribbean. is there a meet up place to say hi and all. would like to meet people from DIS and also if you have any tips on the ship that would be great. i been reading and came across a game called "FE" not sure what that is. can someone tell me what FE means and whats the point of the game? also hope to see you all there July 5.

Ha, yes, I think we have been on the another cruise together. I remember your user name!!! Nope, sadly we never bought into DVC. I keep telling my hubby that we should have when it first came out because we always go to WDW as well. We started cruising DCL with the Magic's Maiden's Voyage on July 30, 1998 (first cruise ever) and I was hooked!!!

I think you will love the Fantasy!!! She is a beautiful ship. We were on the Dream a few times including her MV and she is also beautiful but the Fantasy even ups the game. Make sure you visit Satellite Falls adult water area all the way up on Deck 13. Nice alternate water area to the regular adult pool (don't want to really say pool because it is more of a water feature) but is fun to hang there. The adult clubs are fun and really themed well. The whole ship is just gorgeous!!

We have not booked a thing as far as excursions. Just going to wing it this time. We fly down on Friday morning, driving to the port and staying at the Radisson. I was shocked at how booked all the hotels are. I guess because it is the 4th of July holiday but the only place I could get was the Radisson. We stayed there years ago. The rest of the family (adult kids) are all jealous they are not coming this trip. They all still love DCL!!

As far as FE's go I participated in a few but they got just too overwhelming. I don't do them anymore. We are going to hit WDW for 3 days after the cruise. We did Capt Marvins a few years ago and really enjoyed. We also have been to Paradise Beach in Cozumel and liked that. We have also done Playa Mia beach club, Mr. Sanchos and Nochi Cocum. All are pretty much the same and all are on the same stretch of beach so basically the same. Never been to Jamaica.

Sort of sorry I don't do FB but just not into it. Hope I am not missing out on too much!!!

Hope to see everyone onboard!!! We are traveling with my nephew and his family and they have never been on a DCL cruise so will be showing them the ropes.
