Fantasy Cruise Dec.31, 2016- Jan.7, 2017 Eastern Caribbean Route

I think CTdaisy set up a group on the other social media site we cannot mention by name. You might check for it there.

I would be happy to run the fish exchange for this cruise. I have a large amount of family members coming on the cruise and it will be a logistical nightmare to figure out who will be listed in each group. So I might as well be in charge.

I would like to do four categories for the FE: Families, Adults, Tweens & Teens and Kids. You can sign up for as many as you like. I am going to try to keep all the FE groups to ten cabins or less. When one fills up I will start a new one under that category.

I will start a conversation with everyone who said they were interested in the FE, I will need the following information:
username, email address, cabin number, which type of FE you want to sign up for, first names (surnames optional)and ages of everyone participating and if anyone has allergies.

I can't wait to hear from everyone and meet you all on the cruise.

I started the conversation and invited everyone who said they were interested in FE except those that have less than ten posts. The boards don't allow me to include those usernames in a conversation.

Hello Fellow Cruisers! I just booked this cruise for me and the hubs. Just the two of us. He has NEVER cruised and I finally talked about DCL so much that he gave in and said, let's do it. Can't wait.

Hi! I can't wait to go on this cruise either. Several years ago I convinced my husband to go on his first Disney cruise. Now he wants to know when we are going on our next cruise as soon as we get off our last one. This will be my sixth DCL cruise , my husband's and mother-in-law's fourth, and everyone else in our party's first Disney cruise (and their first cruise for most of them).
I am running the FE for this cruise. Let me know if you would like to participate!

We'll be there and can't wait! Hubby and I celebrating our 10th anniversary and our 50th birthday year. DD (8) will be with us. Second Disney cruise for us, 1st on Fantasy. Had a great time on the Magic.

My family and I will also be joining you on this cruise and would be interested in a fish extender group.

Hello New Year's Friends!
We have just booked and are super excited to start the New Year on the Mickey Seas! We have two cabins (Hubby and I ) and (Grandma and 12 year old).
We are looking to join the Fish Extender groups for this voyage.
Once there is an organizer, please let us know. Thanks

I am organizing the FE groups for this cruise. I sent a conversation out to everyone who said they wanted to participate in the FE. However I was unable to send it to the usernames I have quoted above here because you all have less than ten posts, the minimum amount needed to use that feature. Please let me know if you are still interested in participating.

Thanks for doing this. This will be our first cruise and we are all in. Family of 5: girls 11 and 12 (12 turning 13 on cruise), and DS 7. We'd love to participate in the FE. Can you add us to the conversation for 2 groups: "tweens/teens" for the girls, and "kids" for the boy. Thanks !

We're going on this cruise too! It'll be me and my two adult-age kids. We've been on 2 other Disney cruises, both Merrytime cruises, so this should be a fun change!

So we just booked this cruise today!!!! So excited, its my second with my children and first with my husband. My children are 11 and 9 and can't wait. I was also interested in joining a FE and was hoping it wasn't to late.

I was also wondering if anyone is going to Disney World before the cruise? I read a little about the bus transport and I am a little nervous. What have others done in the past for transport to the PC from Disney?

We have used the DCL bus from a WDW resort many years ago. We were picked up quite late, went to another resort where we had to wait for people to turn up (1/2 of a group were late) & arrived at the port around 1.30pm (I think). This was for our first cruise & it felt safe to do it that way.

We have also rented a car. That has issues of it's own for us (driving on the other side of the road, getting fuel, getting a shuttle to the port).

And we have used private transport. This is what we do now. We get picked up in time to arrive at the port for opening (around 10.30), which has been our PAT as well. The cost of the DCL bus is more for us than private transport - there are 4 of us. So this is now our preferred way.

Thank you so much. Private transportation does sound like the best option. We are a family of four as well. So it probably will be cheaper. You do private to and from the port? This is only my second cruise and we are all very excited. Thanks again for responding.

Glad I can help :). Yes we do. We arrive a couple of days before the cruise (international travel connecting in USA, so more chance of there being an airline problem) & stay at WDW so we can try to adjust to the time zone. We go back to WDW after the cruise to do the parks. We get Magical Express to & from the airport to WDW.
