I am a stay at home mom of DS10 and DS8 and I take classes at our local community college. As I was walking by the job board, there was a huge advertisement for WDW College/Work Program. For a split second I considered running away! Not really, just kidding! It really sounded exciting though...

Have any of you ever thought of what CM job you would like to have if you could? Maybe running a ride or attraction, or in a restaurant, or a shop?

I would like to be in Festival of the Lion King.

Considered it? More like kicked myself for not taking it!! I was offered a summer job at WDW when I was 19. My college had a program, and a select few were offered summer jobs w/ a possibility of a position after graduation. I turned it down  I have been thinking a lot lately about moving to Orlando (never happen), and how much I would be loving life! So, to answer your question, YES, I would like to work in the food and beverage or event planning dept's. To be honest, I'd take anything as long as it was enough to warrant the move to FL!!

I always thought it sounded great too, but I would be very homesick. I good friend of mine did the college program though and loved it. He kept going back after finishing college. First time down he was a character, second time he drove a safari truck at Ak and third time he was an assistant to the cruise director on the Wonder. I love to hear his stories and experiences from that time. I guess I lived through him during that time :earsboy:

I just thought about this recently myself. I am sure that had I not met my DH in college, got married, had kids, etc, I be working in WDW right now! I'd take anything, but really would like to be singing in one of the shows.

Wouldnt mind working in V and As kitchen and getting to taste some of the goodies;)

Really I would love to work with the animals in AK.

DH and I want to retire to Orlando some day and become Friendship boat captains. :boat:

After my first trip to WDW when I was about 6, all I wanted to be was a balloon seller at the MK ::yes:: Now, my dream CM job would be some type of event planning.

Too funny...my DH and I say all of the time that when we retire (which is at least 25 to 30 years away) that we are going to work at WDW. I want to be minnie mouse just so I can find out how she wiggles her nose. ::MinnieMo

I never knew about the college programs until well past my own college era, but I've told the kids for years that when I retire from teaching, I'm going be one of the CM's at the Haunted Mansion - I figure by then I'll have developed that "scary old teacher face" and will fit right in! Honestly, I plan to end up at WDW in some capacity.

I want to waitress in Whispering Canyon cafe. I am not loud in any way shape or form - but I secretly yearn to hoot & hollar and have a good ol' time!
