**Fantasy Becomes Reality** Group--5/19/2012 (INDEX/ROLE CALL, PAGE 1--ENTRY 1)

Congrats to the Happy Couple!

Ok super Jealous!! We live 12 mins from DCL's offices and yet no DOC's Here LOL....

Did they come USPS, UPS, or Fedex?

They were delivered by FEDEX. You're really close to Disney, where abouts are you? Elisa and Terry live in Davenport. They are both CMs, in fact they met when Elisa was on College Programme.

What?!?! Cruise docs!!?! Can't wait! Wasn't expecting for another week or so!

Got our flights and pre cruise hotel booked. We are flying in to Sanford on Allegiant Air and staying at the Fairfield in Lake Buena Vista for a couple of days! Used Mousesavers to get a good deal. Next up - transportation/rental car.

Going swimsuit shopping today after school - all three girls need new suits. And I have to supervise the selection of teenagers because clothing manufacturers have a hard time understanding that they need to use more fabric for their swimsuits.:scared1: Its hard to find something meets my needs for modesty and my teenagers' needs for fashion.

I'm in Hunter's Creek, off of the John Young Parkway. Oh how I hope Fedex comes today would love to get my cruise documents.

My father is a CM at the Contemporary, and I used to work in the Magic Kingdom, and Typhoon Lagoon (College Program) but because of my health I had to quit.

I thought my documents would be delayed past everyone else because I thought they'd have to go to my Travel Agent first and then to me and that would be a delay because she is in the Hospital on Bed Rest trying to keep her twins "baking" longer and her Husband the poor guy is running ragged taking care of his job, her, and doing the "paperwork" for her clients. But my TA is awesome and has set up her clients with DCL to receive our Documents directly from DCL so we don't have a delay due to her situation :thumbsup2

*update* My uncle Tony is holding on still sick but holding on so thank you all for those good thoughts we appreciate it!

We are excited for the cruise and don't have much planned other then Palo, Remy, a spa treatment, and two excursions. We might cancel the excursions though as we have been to both ports and have gone on these same excursions in 2006. The only reason we were going to do them was to at least see more of the island and say we did something. Its our mobility issues that limit what we can and can not do.

There are so many posts and pages, did we decide on a time or day to try and meet as a group?

For those of you not glued to the Fantasy trip reports, a couple of items:
no more character breakfast (I secretly relieved.... was so chaotic in our experience). And... uh oh... Palo brunch was next to impossible on maiden voyage. NOw, I am thinking that the MV prob has a higher proportion of veterans who are Palo fans... but I've decided to change my Pseudo "intrade" odds of getting the brunch: before this week, I thought 80% chance, now has dropped below 50%....
But we are all going to have fun!!

So, since we have a VGT booked and will probably not get the room assignment for quite a while, what happens with the cruise documents and the luggage tags? Anyone know?

If you don't find out before you leave home, the baggage handlers will have a manifest of cabin assignments. They or you can write your cabin number on your tags right at the port.

We have had this booked since within an hour of it going on sale & our kids still don't know yet. They (9 yr boy & 11 yr girl) are about to figure it out. We have been giving them a clue every day or two when they do something to "earn" the clue. If they haven't figured it out at school today, I expect them to get it with the next clue. "Beware of Pirates - yo ho yo ho". So far they have figured out we are going to St. Thomas & St. Maarten, but they don't know any more than that.

Ok, so is it just me, or does it seem like NO ONE from the maiden voyage is really talking?!?! :headache: I know they had a long awesome vacation, had to head home and back to reality......it takes some time to upload and edit photos and videos...but really?!?! COME ON the rest of us are dying here!!!!:sad2:

Hooooraaaahhhh just found this!! I am not sure how many of you have seen or found this yet...but a fun blog from Allears....and PICTURES!!!! ENJOY!

Ok, for those of you who have children ages 10-12 or a bit younger with a higher reading level...or older and they are interested....if you havn't heard of it or found it, we found a great new series the boys are sucked into....Kingdom Keepers (yes the one plastered ALL over the Disney channel is the 5th in this series) They are great books about kids having many adventures in the "Kingdom" ...of course we are speaking of the Mouse Kingdom....anyway book 5 takes place on the Dream! The kids have gotten through book 1 ....about time too...now it's my turn!!:rolleyes1

They should be reading or just done with reading book 5 by the time of our cruise....wanted to pass this on as somthing for the little older set of kids to do while the clock is slowly ticking down to cruise day.....

Here is a link to the 1st book on Barnes and Noble...it's also on Amazon Walmart etc....I have a nook so I use Barnes and Noble...Hope this is something you and your family will enjoy!!:mickeyjum

We got our Magical Express packet today :dance3: !! Makes the trip seem so "real" now :woohoo:. Of course I had to call and ask them to send me more luggage tags :rolleyes1. We'll have a week of WDW pre/post cruise, so I KNOW that we (ok.... me :confused3 ) will need two pieces of checked luggage (thank you SWA for 2 free checked bags :worship:). I also booked an afternoon of pre-cruise pampering at a local spa for me and MaryRose :dance3:. 5 weeks from today we will be at WDW, hopefully at the MK :dance3:.

Ok....so lately this seems to be the Jaimie thread...or I am the only one who has aquired the unhealthy addiction to the Disboards....:rolleyes1

I think I asked this question before....tried to find the answer and I can't.....

I was going to wear a formal and buy tuxes off ebay for the boys and DH...reading the lovely heated threads about MDR dress issues popcorn:: which are almost as fun as the tipping threads popcorn:: .....I am thinking I am going to be one of the only ones dressed to the nines...DH sees this, I'm in deep do-do :rotfl: sooooooooo does anyone else plan on this cruise going all out...or should I make the boys happy and do the dress slacks and shirt and tie for them and a nice semi formal or other would wear to a wedding type dress..... :confused3

We don't have to dress up....getting them all dressed would be like wrestling a honey badger X3 but I and I am sure in my family only I would think it's worth the effort...either way, their happiness doesn't matter :lmao: it's clearly all about me....but I don't want to be all alone here in my awesomeness....any other takers?

If not, I'm ok with that too...and DH will gladly pay you once onboard the ship!!:rotfl2:

I think Pirategrrrl and I were only planning on getting dressed up to the sevens, if that helps: suit, tie, cocktail dress... but I'm not saying who is wearing which!!

We are not dressing to the nines. I have a dress and DH will be wearing a shirt and tie but that's as far as we go. My boys will be in the kids club, they didn't want to dress up at all. I do hope to see some formal wear though. On our dream cruise last year there were some families that dressed formal for our semi-formal night and they looked fabulous!

If I'm going to be honest here.... No we don't plan on dressing up at all. It's a vacation :confused3 I'm happy I got everyone in our family to agree to put pants on the boys instead of nice shorts this cruise. I guess that's a step in the right direction. Maybe next cruise we'll dress up. Or not :rolleyes1

Oops. Now I see my other post so I edited this.

On another note, our cruise documents arrived via regular mail today. It's really getting close now.

I did want to wear a tux for formal night and suit for semi-formal, but to cut down on packing I'll just bring the suit, and wear it with the vest for formal night and without the vest for semi-formal. Last time I think I just wore a blazer with shirt and tie for semi-formal night. With the price of tuxes around $150 on the discount sites and the fact that I will wear it on several cruises, I'm thinking I may have to just buy one.

DW will be wearing the dress she wore to our son's wedding for formal night; floor length, beaded bust. Probably a little black dress for semi-formal night.

SO . . . still have to make FE gifts, door magnets . . . haven't gotten docs yet . . . need to get suit cleaned and pressed . . . shine shoes . . . DARN, forgot to make ressies with groomer to keep dog. I better get moving!

We're dressing up! We get dressed nice every night for supper (no t-shirts except pirate night for us) and step it up a notch or two on formal and semi-formal nights. My husband will be wearing a three-piece suit with tie to match my fancy dresses. We love getting dressed up and jump at the chance to do so whenever we can!

Cruise documents already? I'm jealous! Last time we had a similar trip planned our WDW and cruise documents arrived two days before we left! This time we are leaving four days earlier and I am crossing my fingers that everything arrives before we leave. Eek! (The joys of living in the middle of nowhere.)
