Tucked into a trip report from a recent Dream cruise was the following that I thought might interest those following the Fantasy building (and following the trip reports comparing the Dream to Magic/Wonder):

"We attended a presentation on the making of the Dream. The crew member (and, in fact, all crew members we spoke to) giving the talk acknowledged the poorly designed pool areas in terms of guest flow and size. She indicated that the Fantasy would have another pool on Deck 13 Forward but was unsure whether it would be a concierge pool, an adult pool, or something else. She also indicated that the designers of the Fantasy were hoping to increase the size of the adult pool, the family pool and the Mickey pool."

There was also a full thread on the main DCL board. Its a full-on debate/discussion of the pool topic & its feasibility. They also discuss some other possible "fixes" rumored for the Fantasy - like a rumored solution to the Kid parade in the adult pool area caused by poor design.

I'm not sure I'll have a chance to check in again beforehand, but we leave for WDW in 8 days!!! We're staying at BLT and hitting F&WF, MNSSHP, doing some EMHs, and having an otherwise fabulous time! I will check in from the parks while there and post some pics when we return!

Hi all, just stopping in for a quick update. Tony's mom has decided to come to our home on hospice. She has been here for over 24 hours and has made us laugh a lot. She is just happy to see her dogs, and be "home". Every bite she eats she says "Ah heaven" and you just have to chuckle. It has been a very hard time, She went from 140 lbs to 102 in just one month. We did have a few bumps in the road but she is here now and where she wants to be. Keep us in your thoughts in the comming days.

Tony and Susan - I will be praying for Tony's mom and the whole family.

Please keep my mom in your thoughts as well. She had triple bypass surgery yesterday. She is now in CCU. She's doing good but they had to put her on a nitroglycerin iv last night. She's also on an insulin iv and her sugar level is staying fairly consistent. She will be coming home with me when she leaves the hospital next week because my dad just had rotator cuff surgery last week and she was the one taking care of him until yesterday.

It really sounds like your days are busy also. Mom is comfortable, and surrounded by love. Thank you so much for your prayers. Ours are with you also.

We will probably go on 'silent mode' for awhile. When we return, it will be after the inevitable has presented itself. Know that we feel all of your prayers, and they lift us and encourage us daily.

I want to come back to the board and see all of the great ideas, great plans and the excitement of the trip!

Oh my! We just went through that with Tonys step mom. It is so tiring for you at the hospital, get plenty of rest because you can't help them ( both mom and dad) if you don't take care of yourself! Make sure your mom does the cardiac rehab. It helps so much. And yes we already prayed, and we will continue.

If anyone has followed on caring bridge you will know this already. Tonys mom passed away on Sunday oct 9th. We are all doing good. I think she died happier than she has been for the last three years! Tony is doing well and I think we are all at peace. Thanks for your prayers and well wishes, I think they worked. I know that we have a lot genet done in the comming weeks but you guys on the board will be a welcome retreat. So let's start hearing some plans. I wish everyone good health and good family health in the future and always. Bless you all!
