Hi, typing this while watching "what would carol brady do" on TV...

We're 104 days out from cruise...
Palo day 1 - open slots (based on seating for 3) are 6, 6:30, 7, 8, 8:30
day 2 6, 6:30, 8:30
day 3 6, 6:30, 8, 8:30
day 4 6, 6:30
day 5 6, 6:30, 8, 8:30
day 6 6, 8, 8:30
day 7 6, 6:30, 7, 8

Note: lots more time slot availability for tables of 2 at Palo...

Palo brunch (also 20 surcharge)
day 2 10, 10:30, 12:30
day 6 10, 10:30, 11, 12, 12:30
not offered on other days - lots more availablilty for tables of 2.

Remy brunch (50 surcharge)
Day 2 and 6 at 11:30am (more availablility for tables of 2...)

Lots of Remy Dinner spots....

So, even if spots fill up, you might consider booking two tables of 2 to start and see if they can turn it into a table for 4 once you're on board....

Good luck.

UncleAndy- YOU ROCK!! We don't get to book until nov 3rd (90 days out)but knowing that there are plenty available makes it wonderful.

Now do you know if you can book a seating at palo for dinner AND a seating for brunch? We really want to do both but seem to remember last time we could only book one ahead of time and of we wanted to do brunch, we had to add it on board.

Bummed about the cabanas!!!! I'm hoping they only released a few for concierge and there will be some available for us peons on nov 2nd. If not, looks like spa massages instead (hmmmm what a horrible trade off!! Lol)

Thanks again and welcome aboard!

Angie

Hi Angie,

I was able to prebook one brunch at palo and one dinner at palo per adult - 2 reservataions total. I could not book two different nights at Palo.

However, since brunch is only during the 2 sea days, I would try to book the brunch first when your booking window opens up. I suspect there would be a greater opportunity for cancellations of the evening reservations.

As for cabanas, I originally budgeted for one, but was kind of relieved that it wasn't available, as I'm not convinced it's worth the price, especially for our family. Mentioned it to mom and she said, "Well I thought we'd do the 5K run, the stingray thing, have lunch, and then head back to the ship at one so Dad and I can play Scrabble while you take the kids on the Aquaduck a hundred times when it's not crowded." There goes my plan on taking a long nap in a cabana...

Andy

Also, for the fish extender I saw some on ebay (type in fish extender in search engine) which is a bit nicer than my idea of writing Disney on a 2 dollar canvass bag from Walmart with a Sharpie...

That is AWESOME news about the brunch and dinner bookings. I'll make sure to book the brunch for Sunday (it's my birthday that day!!) Then later in the week we can book dinner there. I'm not a "foodie" so Remy isn't something we are even considering.

My philosophy on the cabana is "que sera sera" - if they are booked, that just means more $ for me to spend on spa services or shore excursion.

I don't think we are planning on going into port at Costa Maya (since it's such a short excursion) so maybe we can ride the Aquaduck then.

Dont worry about making a fancy fish extender - we put gifts in any old bag! I'll look for a picture of mine from our last one and post it.

Does anyone have any plans to decorate their doors? I found all my magnets from last cruise and most of them are "dated" so I am going to have to make more. Of course, since the girls are going to be surprised, I can't really work on them until after Christmas!!!

Here is a picture of our door from the last cruise..... We won't go overboard this time - haha

I love the door!! We're planning on decorating, but we're still building our magnet collection.

Love it Angie! Can't say we've ever thought to save the magnets.
I'm sure my son will be a huge help making at least one for our family. Now where did I put the magnetic paper . . .ummm???

Heyshanny, I just submitted my request for the FB group. My name is Kristie Gionet. Thanks for setting it up.

Yeah! for a FB group (I am on there so much more than the boards any more). I'm Dialady (aka Theresa Kennihan Wagar). And I'm knocking on the Group door to see if you will let me in . . .

Can't wait

Hi everyone,

Andy here.

I set up my parents to the 2nd Feb 2013 Fantasy cruise for their 45th wedding anniversary on 7th Feb (7th Feb is also my mom's 69 birthday). THEN, they decided they needed to bring some kids along, so I added my niece (9) and nephew (5) (who won't find out they are going until the morning of the cruise...). THEN, they decided they needed someone to watch the kids, so, presto, I'm now going as well! :yay: (Although, now, I've got to study up and watch the last ten years of disney/pixar movies...)

So, while my parents are at the spa or in the middle of a scrabble game, I'll be in the front row of the 3pm shows with my niece and nephew.

Please add us to the FE. Thanks!

Name: UncleAndy
Stateroom (or category): 12006
Number traveling (adults/children): 3 adults, 2 children (F, age 9) (M, age 5)
FE participants: Yes.
Dining rotation: Late
Special event? Mom and Dad's 45th Anniversary on 7 Feb 2013 (same day is Mom's 69th b-day)

PS...I was booking a palo dinner reservation, and I also saw that all the cabanas are sold out, in case anyone was wondering... There were two cabanas not listed at all on website (cabana 13 and 15 or something like that) (maybe they are closed for repairs?). But, anyway, the rest were sold.

Hi Andy, we're in cabin 12004 with my two sons ages 10 and 5 at the time of sailing. Maybe the kids can hook up in the kids club.

We only ned a table for two anyway, somehow my husband prefers to have a romantic dinner without his in-laws :lmao:, they are going to watch our daughter in the meanwhile.

Ok, I have to know: what is "what would Carol Brady do"? Definitely not something that has made it into Austrian TV.

Hi there,

I think my niece and nephew will probably be at the kids club often...we took my neice on a 3-day cruise when she was 3, and we couldn't drag her away from the kids club. The club was the reason we picked the cruise over Disney World. Well, that, and the fact that when I took my niece to Disney World, years ago, I had to sit through The Voyage Of The Little Mermaid multiple multiple times. "Ariel! You can talk! (right arm into the air) You're the one! (left arm into the air) It was you all the time! (both arms into the air)"

Anyway, feel free to say hi if you spot us playing Scrabble in the lounge. Also, if you have any issues with noise during the cruise, don't hesitate to knock on our door and tell us to quiet down.

Thank you :thumbsup2!!

There was a cheesy show in the USA in the 70s called The Brady Bunch. Now they are showing repeats on tv while a picture of the mom character pops up occasionally with snarky comments in a "thought balloon"... Very obscure.

You may know it as "Drei Mädchen und drei Jungen." Carol Brady was the mom on that show.

No, never heard about that. When I was born, the seventies were almost over. It was probably shown on German tv which we didn't receive.
The first American tv show I remember watching was ALF, we were totally confused why people were laughing in the background :rotfl2:. Ah, that was such a long time ago, I'm so old :headache:.

I'm getting so excited about the cruise, now that our check in date is only a few days away. I should really find out which excursions my family wants to do...

Bluegreen - Please remove us from the Fish Extender for this cruise - we are moving cruises to one two weeks later - so joining that one - Thanks!

So sad you won't be with us!! But I've removed you from the list.

Double digit dance!!!!!!! I'm getting so excited now. I get to book excursions and palo in 6 days! Decided against a cabana - easy decision since they are all sold out! Haha but at least I can look at some awesome spa treatments and maybe get the overpriced (but o so worth it) photo cd

I think we've decided not to book any excursions. We're doing a week on the cruise and then a week at WDW so unless it's a really spectacular excursion I will save my money and just do a little exploring on our own.
