We arrived home last night from abnother Magical Trip to WDW. This time, we celebrated my 40th Birthday in the World.

Of relevance to this Board - Spring Break Crowds. They're big. Not as big as Christmas or Easter, I'm sure. But about as big as I care to experience. We had a great time by going early & banging out the big ones first thing while everyone else was still sleeping or having those long character breakfasts. We used Fast Passes to the fullest extant & had a great time. I can see how people coming into the Parks at 11 or so have a completely different experience tho.

As far as Fast Passes at Epcot - My advice is get straight to Soarin' rather than FPing Test Track first. Soarin is not to be missed & even during AP/DVC previews, the lines were well over an hour later in the day.The queu is HUGE! We were able to ride it 4 times with hardly a wait by going first thing & FPing Test Track. We met some very nice DISer's in line for Saorin (Hi there Flower, Mr. Shmee & DayTripper!)

Tours - We did the Segway Tour & Keys to the Kingdom. We thought they were worth every penny & would do them both again. For the Segway Tour, we did the 9:30 tour with Sarah & Lamont. They were excellent guides & teachers. As worried as I was about my inherent clumsiness, riding a Segway is surprisingly natural & easy.
Matthew was our Keys guide, he was so funny & knowledgable. The time flew by & we all learned alot. It was enthralling, even to my non-Disney Freak DH.

Animal Kingdom - This is not a Park to be rushed thru. Slow Down, enjoy the details. It is lush with them. I went first thing in the morning & took some beatiful photos of all the landscaping & architechtural details. We did not do Kali this trip, which I missed, but I know we will do it next trip.

Crocs - They are soooooo comfy. Unfortunately, I got my first WDW blister from a different pair of shoes that fell right where my Crocs did & had to wear a blister pad & socks to use my Crocs after that. I couldn't believe that after 12 trips to Disney, I wound up with a blister. The shoes were well broken in & I had worn them for weeks beforehand to get my feet used to them, so I'm not sure how I wound up with a blister :confused3 DH liked his Crocs also. He has the Caymans & doesn't like them with socks. I use Niles without socks & am expecting my Beach model to have arrived when I get to work later today.

Art of Disney - Beware, this is one Dangerous Place! I tried to get DH to come in with me to visit a Trevor Carlton piece that I have been pining for since last Oct., but once he heard the price, he refused to even look. LOL

Pleasure Island - This was really the first trip we spent any time there. DS is 16 & really into Improv (taking it in school & plans to major in film studies) We went to Comedy Warehouse & the Adventurer's Club. What a BLAST! We could do this every night. It really isn't for young ones, tho & I do kinda wish they would reserve the experience for guests 14 & older.(Flame away, but it's my opinion that kids don't belong in bars & that it's OK for there to be some activities geared for older guests)

There is no end in sight of the Princess Plethora in WDW. It seems that much is still geared toward the little girls (great for parents of little Princesses, not so great for our little Heros tho) I did ask about it on the Tour & he has seen no end in sight for it & says they have recieved lots of comments - keep them coming tho & maybe it will help.

That's all I can think of for now - I'll be happy to answer any questions that I can..... Oh, yeah - The weather was great when we were there. It was on the cooler side (for me) the first 2 days & the last day. I found nights to get a little chilly also.

Getting a bit confused.
Did you go straight to soarin and wait in line before getting any FP.
Soarin and test track are a must for us this year. Have never done soarin and have only done test track once and it was after it had been raining and don't think we got up to full speed.

The FP wasn't working for AP/DVC previews when we were there. We went straight to Soarin & waited in line - The first time for about 5 minutes, the longest wait first thing in the morning, about 30 minutes - the we FPed Test Track after & had a return time of about 11 am.

Remember, this was during a AP/DVC preview, so I'm sure the lines will be much longer once it's opened to the general public.

I just have to say that I am so glad to read such a positive post! Lately we have read some very negative things about my favorite place, and I am so happy to read the positive. Thanks for the Soarin' tip. We will be using that in June! :flower:

Is moton sickness an issue on Soarin'? I am very, very susceptible to motions sickness, heck, I can't even go on a merry go round without feeling nauseous, major equilibrium issues. I'd like to do Soain', but don't want to ruin my day, or anyone else's day, by getting sick. Oh, and thanks for a nice trip report, lately there seems to be so much whining an complaining, it's great to hear someone actually had a good trip.

I can't imagine complaining after a trip to WDW! Sure, there's a couple places you notice cutbacks (transporatation seems less efficient than it used to) a couple times we were not willing to wait in long lines - But all of that is small potatoes. I guess you COULD work yourself up over it if you want to be miserable, but I'm a half full kind of person.

Motion sickness on Soarin' - Not an issue for me or anyone that I saw. I can't do Mission:Space or multiple back to back trips on ToT, but can handle everything else (even Teacups which I just discovered for the first time this trip) so I'm not sure I can judge that for you. Liken it to an Imax movie with very slight movements & breezes.

Oh, I forgot to mention - We did Primevil Whirl & thought it was a Blast! It looks deceptively kiddie ride-ish. Wow! It's really quite a whirl!
