Just returned about a week ago from our two weeks in Florida and first time at Universal. Glad to report that I am so happy I decided to purchase the 15 month season pass instead of the day part tickets as we LOVED it, and are already planning another trip. We had only two days in the parks at Universal this trip as we did lots of other things too so we want to plan where we have a little more time and were considering coming down right after Thanksgiving (Friday or Saturday) and staying 5 nights. Can someone shed light on the crowds at that time? We will stay at a deluxe hotel to get the free express passes since we get a discount with our pass. We stayed at HR this past trip and was thinking LRP for the next one.

Glad you enjoyed your trip and are now hooked on UO. We fell in love on our first trip and have now gone through 2 sets of APs.

3 of our 5 trips have been over Thanksgiving (2017, 2019, and 2020) and it is our favorite time of year to go to UO. The parks tend to get more crowded as the week goes on, so count on it being packed. Even the EP lines can get quite long in the mid-afternoon, so we tend to take a break then for a late lunch and nap. I would expect that after Sunday, things get quiet again since kids are back in school.

Since you are aware of the APH rates for the deluxe resorts, you just need to be ready to book your room as soon as they open up. Now that you have a good idea how things work, you will find that trips are even more relaxing...
