We’re planning a dinner at River Belle Terrace for the Fantastic package. We’d like to attend the early show - does it matter what time we make the reservation?

Also - is there seating in the reserved area or just standing room only?

Finally, for those who have dined there - what do you recommend?

I would make it before 6:30. Though I think all RBT reservations are the early show (but I could be mistaken). I actually prefer earlier dinner times because it gives you time to do other things between dining and Fantasmic.

For the RBT, the viewing is seated on the ground at the Rivers of America. It is slightly east-of-center, but you still have a great view. There tends to be more people lined up earlier for that package (as opposed to Blue Bayou), so I would get there at least 1 hr ahead of showtime.

I concur :). And usually by the end of the day you'll really appreciate the seat, even if it's on the ground!

Oh, and I forgot about this question. When I ate there last summer/fall, I liked the ribs a lot, and there was a lot of them. I was not a fan of the corn chowder, which was a shame since I love the one at French Market, as well as the one they used to serve at RBT during Fantasmic 1.0; maybe it was just my batch, but it was bland and lukewarm. I got the strawberry shortcake, the biscuit was a bit dry on its own, but if you made sure to take a bite with strawberries and whipped cream it was fine. I didn't get the Dragon dessert because I heard it has a spicy kick, and I don't do spicy.

The dragon dessert does have a spicy kick. It made my daughter sick. I had the same meal as you pretty much...lol .The ribs were good and there were too many to eat them all. The short cake was just ok.
