I was wondering a few things about the show Fantasmic! at DL. First of all, how crowded do you think it will be during the week of December 14 - 19th? The reason I ask is because we are deciding if we should splurge and get the reserved seating. That brings me to the second question. How much is the reserved seating? I know that there are a couple of options but I don't know exactly what they are or the prices or specifics at all. If someone could help me with this that would be wonderful!!! Thanks!
:hyper: *My wife and I are excited about our Honeymoon @ DL*

I would expect crowds.

Frankly, in the past year I have been taken aback by the Fantasmic crowds. The 9 pm showing is in place at 6 pm !!!! For a good chance at the chap (free) seats go to the seconf showing right after the first lets out.

For your honeymoon, though....if cost isn't too huge of an issue, the Balcony is $47 a piece. You need to be one of the first callers 30 days in advance to nab it. Phone lines open up at 8am....don't expect the tix to be there at 805 AM. The reserved seating area is easier to get reservations for, but not as great of a view.

I splurge for it here and there casue Idon't wait 3 hours for a good seat to anything!

We booked Fantasmic premiere seating (called 2 minutes after 8 and by the time someone talked to me they were sold out of balcony seating.) But I am still excited to take my wife to this show. Her birthday is 2 weeks before we go so it is kind of a birthday trip as well as our honeymoon. We can't wait!! :teeth:

Thousands of locals come in just for the evenings to see the Haunted mansion Holiday, it's a small world holiday, fireworks snow and Fantasmic. Many come and get spots for Fantasmic hours before the first show. The first show makes that side of the park a virtual traffic jam. The second show is less crowded but can be crazy to get to. I haven't tried the Fantasmic desert buffet and seating. You may wish to if youy don't mind the price.

I want to thank everyone here for their great advice on the Fantasmic seating!
My husband and son are huge Fantasmic fans, and both times that we went to DL last year, it wasn't showing.
I started calling yesterday at 4 minutes to 8, got the "We are closed" message...then at 2 minutes after 8, a CM answered and I was told there were already only 10 balcony seats left! We got four of them!!! :cool1:
I had really hoped that we'd be in the front, but after reading that the 2nd row is good, because you can stand up and move around a little, this makes me glad that we will probably be in back. I asked the CM about the seating, but he kind of contradicted himself. First he said they seat in order of whoever calls first, then he said it was determined by who's there first. I guess I'll find out soon enough. It's worth the money to not have to stake out a spot hours ahead. We just won't do any breakfast buffets!!:p
Ever since I moved to Arizona (24 yrs ago) it just hasn't seemed like Christmas....until last year when we made our first trip to DL in December. Was planning on making it an annual affair, except next year we're cruising with Disney. I am so excited to be spending Christmas at DL again this year, I just about can't wait! I feel like a little kid again!!!

:jumping1:

Let me get this straight... you have to PAY to see this show? I thought it was a free show, like in WDW.

it is a free show but if you don't want to have to wait 3 hours before the show to get a could seat you have to get reserved seating. That's what we are talking about. Reserved seating.
Hope this helps!
