Would it be worth buying the package to the show since with the Mark Twain down will the show be different?

I've been to Fantasmic! showings before when the Mark Twain was down and the Mark Twain still came out for the show. Same with the Columbia. So, I'm not sure. I've heard of times when the characters come out on the island, but I've yet to see that. I think that would be a unique way to experience the show in itself. Certainly not as grand as the big paddle wheeler, but still interesting.

DisneyGeek posted photos from last week's Fantasmic show and the characters appeared on Tom Sawyer Island for the finale. So it looks like at this stage in the refurb, the Mark Twain is not going to be used in Fantasmic.

In terms of the package, I think it depends on each guest. Having seen the show with the Mark Twain, I would probably opt to wait until it's back in the show before going to the dessert party. However, if you've never seen the show, then it might still be worth it to get the package because the rest of the show (including my favorite sequence: Peter Pan) is the same.

And those who answered. Since it may be the only time I'm ever to visit DL, I went ahead and splurged for the package. I hope the show will be great for all who are there to view it. Now, if it's just not 100 degrees, that would be great too!:rotfl2:

The Mark Twain is definitely not in use right now. I saw the finale on the stage once at L DHS, and it was pretty lame. No Steamboat Mickey if I recall correctly.

The dessert package is still a good way to enjoy the show. It beats the heck out of dealing with all the congestion in the area.

Steamboat Willie appears in the DHS version of the finale. He's on the top deck of their version of the boat. He's hard to see here, but he's the one above Grumpy.
