(1) Is anyone else having trouble booking the Fantasmic Dinner Package for third week of June?

(2) Has anyone had any luck just going to the guess relations desk at MGM the day of and requesting the Fantasmic Dinner Package?

I have been trying for 3 months. We are a family of 6 and my sister family of 5 would like to get together for a meal and do some attractions together, before watching Fantasmic. We didn't want to waste time by standing in a long 2 or 3 hour before show line. (*been there done that and don't care to do it again*). I know there are 2 times listed for Fantasmic but we would have like to do the earlier time.

Several CM have given different information. I'm so confused. One told me to call back at 30 days out. Which I did am and pm at 30, 29, 28, 27,26, & 25 days *NOTHING*. Another one told me to call back June 1st that is when they will open up the new times. Another said once the times are set than no other times will open up. Now the PS time give to me for all 3 restraunts is between 4pm and 430pm nothing later and all the packages are booked for this time frame. It is hard to believe that the section reserved for Fantasmic would be full with only 30 min slot for dinner packages. Yet another said They real don't know when the times will be released. Thanks for the honesty of that CM.

Yes, I'm having the same issues. When I called last week, I was told to call back today because it would be 4 weeks out and they would release later dining hours at the restaurants. So I just called 15 minutes ago and was told that only PS times were 4 & 4:30 and no packages were available as well.

Very Frustrating!

Our last two trips we booked the Fantasmic Dinner Package for dinner at Mama Melrose's once we arrived at our hotel. We just did it at hotel guest services and didn't have a problem. Once was in June and once was in December. I didn't even realize that you could book it ahead of time. Good luck!

Keep trying!!! We started planning our June 1st trip in late April so I started trying right away to get the FDP at H & V...no availability for weeks then at about 30 days or a few less later times opened up and I was able to get a 5pm...would prefer a 6ish time, but all I really care about is not having to stand and wait as long as I've read about people waiting in line for Fantasmic.

So, just keep trying and call at various times during the day...because I'd called one day in the early morning and nothing...then the next day in the afternoon the times opened up.

Good luck!

I was wondering if the price for the fantasmic dinner includes gratuity and tax? Also, what happens if it a rainout and fantasmic is cancelled? Do you get refunded because you chose not to go?? I am anxious abouta pay ahead dinner! Thanks! :flower:

Last summer when I booked the Fantasmic package I had to give my credit card as a hold, but it would not be charged unless we were a 'no show'. I believe they told me you had until 48 hours prior to cancel without being charged. We took the 4:30 time and decided to do a late b-fast at the Cape May and and early dinner at H&V. It worked out great for us. We ate dinner, paid for it with cash, then went and rode rides while everyone else was eating.

I have this booked for June 2 and still cannot get a later time than 5:00. The CM today said that is the absolute latest they will take ressies for this. That seems pretty odd to me. We originally had 4:30 ressies and finally got 5:00, but can't get any further. Guess I'll keep trying.

Oh, I also forgot to add that you're out of luck if Fantasmic is rained out, they don't give rainchecks. I do think that it's better than waiting in line for the regular seating.

:rolleyes1 We got 6:20 p.m. seating with Fantasmic package on May 28th. I'm thinking we were lucky! I like the late seating b/c we want to go to late fantasmic show (less people!).

I say keep trying. It makes no sense to tell you that they don't offer any later seating b/c obviously they do!! :earseek:

The price of gratuity is only add for a party of 8 or more. Tax is not included. If I remeber correctly.

If it rains and the show is cancelled there is no refund or no voucher for another day. Remember there is no extra charge for the package just the cost of your dinner at regular price. We have to eat anyway so that isn't a problem for our group.

Cancelation is 48 hours or they will charge your card $10 per person for cancelation or no show.

We have done this package several times and have never had to cancel.
