Fantasmic Thread!

Hi! I've been reading about a lot of issues with Fantasmic. Several Disneyland youtubers even are recommending not spending on dining packages or even waiting for the show because the current state of the show is just not worth it.

I would like to know about this issue, does someone agrees or disagrees with this?
I'm debating if I pay for a package or not.
I recently saw the show without any pyro at all and it was extremely disappointing. I know it’s been happening somewhat regularly, though we don’t know why. I wouldn’t personally recommend a dining package right now to friends or family (even though I’m usually a huge proponent of the dining packages for Fantasmic), not unless the show gets back on track with regular pyro.

I know that fresh baked talked about the Friday pyro, Saturday no-pyro situation going on.

Has anyone found a source that breaks down what's happening now? Is it pyro on Fridays for both shows now? What's been happening on Saturdays?

FreshBaked isn't a great source for Fantasmic information, as he admits it is not something he keeps up on as he isn't int he parks very often in the evenings. This was apparent when he kept saying it was nightly year round which hasn't been the case in years.

Yeah, I know his info is not as granular as what we all want around here. Mentioned his coverage as I was hoping it might spark more detailed information tracking rather than the off and on anecdotal trip report popping up here.

For my upcoming trip, I was only able to get Zocalo package for Friday. I have our preferred Cafe Orleans package booked for Saturday, but want to prioritize pyro if that's still a thing.

Gosh! We are seeing it on a Monday. You’ve got me wondering now what the situation will be.

Or if I should switch nights…

Is PlanDisney any good for detailed questions like this? I know those panelists keep up on the usual questions about tickets, LL, etc., but would they be on top of things that Disney hadn't publicly announced, such as whether F! isn't going to have pyrotechnics on certain nights? And even if they do know, would they be allowed to reveal unofficial information?

Just trying to think of where people following this discussion can get accurate information on this frustrating (and quite frankly, inexcusable) situation.

I doubt it. They are likely only allowed to follow the script that Disney gives them. If Disney hasn't announced that pyro will only be on Fridays (which I doubt is the case) then they won't be able to answer. Even if they see every Fantasmic show and have documented proof that it is only on Fridays and never on Saturday.
