Fantasmic! Superthread - Or Everything You Need To Know About Fantasmic at Disneyland

The are very accommodating. I once had a group of 6 with a little one in a stroller and we chose seats with three in front and three adults right behind on an aisle. They let us pull one of the front seats and park the kid right in the stroller since we were right behind him...granted, it was a pretty simple stroller, not one of those collapsible Swiss Army condos on wheels.

We did it last year with a kid in a stroller, not the same but similar. They had a place within their little fenced off area where they put it, it was big enough to hold a chair. The only thing I'd advise, well a couple things actually, is to not bring him through the line up for picking seats then make sure to leave tons of time to get him to the area. When we were there the line went down the stairs and it was very awkward with the stroller. It's also extremely congested to the point everyone will just stop because there is no where to walk, the less time he has to spend there the better; yet you also want to make sure to leave time to get through it. For reference it took my husband 20 minutes to take my son to the bathroom next to the train station and come back; that normally would be a two minute walk.

Thanks. I will plan on that as well. I really appreciate all the information.

Strollers are crazy these days, aren't they? :)

Ok, so for those who have booked premium seating lately, is it 1 month (ie--for a August 10 show, book July 10?) or 30 days?

I keep seeing conflicting info.

TIA.

I think it's one month, and if it's not you'll just have to call back the next morning so I'd err on the side of one month.

I can confirm it is one month, not 30 calendar days like it is for dining reservations. So for Aug 10, call on July 10.

What time do they accept calls?, I need to work out the time differences
Edit:
Oops, just read the OP FAQ, the answer is 8 am pacific time

How early does the wheelchair area fill up? How many people can be with the person in the wheelchair in the wheelchair area?

In my experiences for the first show of the night it has filled up about the same as the rest of the areas. We went an hour before showtime with my son and there wasn't enough room but found another place to stand. We have stood in that area with him plus three other people (all 3 adults), but when other people have come along in a chair my two adult sons have found other spots. They weren't asked to, they were just being polite. That being said, in my opinion it has been a better view when we did NOT stand in the handicapped area.

Even in the handicapped areas, I find it easier to get a spot just after the first show ends (if they have 2 when you are there).

Thank you! It's highly doubtful we'll be able to make it to a second show because we HAVE to keep a certain schedule for my autistic DD and that's just too late for her. We also can't get there too early because she can't handle that kind of a wait, especially later in the day. I guess we'll skip it.

That was very nice of your sons to move for others in wheelchairs.

I've seen people suggesting to catch the first show with the package because you can watch the fireworks from your seat, after Fantasmic! concludes. I've also seen people saying the opposite. I am just looking for some people to tell me their preferences and why. I'd imagine it would be a bit easier to view/experience Fantasmic! at the second showing when the crowd is a bit lighter? Am I wrong in assuming this? :confused3

You might be able to explain that to a CM maybe 30 minutes before the show and see if they will assist you. We've done that before with fireworks when my autistic son was having trouble. We needed to move from the front to a different spot during the show and they led us out and found us a place to stand that was suitable for us.

Regarding the best way to exit after Fantasmic: I've seen the advice that it's best to exit thru Frontierland instead of Adventureland in order to avoid crowds. Can someone please clarify which specific path to take? At the risk of sounding ignorant, I'm trying to picture this but it feels like exiting by way of FL will put mebehind the sea of people coming out of Adventureland heading toward the exits. I must be missing something... :confused3

If I signed up for the dessert package for the 2nd show, would I be able to watch the fireworks near the hub and make it to my seat in time? Or is that cutting it too close.
I understand I would have to go earlier for seat selection.
Thanks

Yeah...we do that all the time. Plenty of time. The great thing about the premium seating is that you don't have to rush for a spot and you seat is waiting for you. We will do fireworks, then AFTER the mad rush of the first show exodus and second show cattle call thins out, we will make our way over.

ok since when to people stand for Fantasmic. It has always been my experience that people sit for Fantasmic?
When did that change take place (and please don't say they have always stood because I know for a fact they haven't I have video and pictures as proof)
Ho does this effect the special pay for seating area now that people are standing right in front of where you are sitting?

I believe if you are in the front area, you have to sit, standing is not an option. If you are in the back area, you can sit up until 30 minutes before F! starts, but then the CMs tell everyone to stand up. No one stands in front of the dessert party area.
