Fantasmic! Show Discussion Thread

We did the RBT package on Tuesday and they made an announcement asking people to stand for the fireworks.
They also mention standing for fantasmic, but obviously, no one in reserved does. It's not like they let more people in for fireworks so it makes no sense for those people to suddenly stand. Their view would be better if they remained seated.

I was surprised by the request too. Fantasmic was very crowded, but lots of people in the reserved area left before the fireworks. Maybe they were worried that there would an issue with traffic if people continued to sit.:confused3

Maybe the standing announcement was intended for everyone except the RBT and BB package viewing areas?

For the fireworks they allow other people to walk into that area. They take the ropes down, I think that's why they ask people to stand.

They left the ropes up for the RBT/BB area and people for the next show were lined up waiting to get in as soon as fireworks were over and we cleared. Don't they still distribute fastpasses for the second F! showing and need the ropes?

Just so I'm clear - the RBT Premium package is the only one that includes chairs instead of sitting on the ground? I'm thinking of getting these for our trip in October. We've actually never seen Fantasmic, since the kids would usually be sleeping by the time it started back when they closed it and the one time we made dining reservations before, it rained.

Yes, the RBT Premium package is the only one with actual chairs. The next best is the BB with the seat cushions but they're just cushions to sit on the ground with, no chairs.

OK good to know! And looking at the packages online, it looks like the chairs are only available for a later show/later seating so you have to be specific when booking.

The Premium package is only available for an 8:00 dining time but it's for the first show, and you have to call to book this one. I have it booked for next month so I'm looking forward to it!

My experience was with the soft on Saturday. They had taken down the ropes that are parallel to the water so people could get out. The ones that were perpendicular stayed up.

THanks for the clarification. I was thinking about one of the other shows that has a late and early start. I'll have to make a note in my calendar for when the 60 day window opens to book these. I'm still debating between BB & RBT. My one kid loves the idea of the "restaurant in PoC", so if we do that better to bundle, but the seating for RBT premium looks better. Decisions, decisions.

I know it was hard to choose. I still may change my mind based on people's reviews but I think I'm willing to give up a 'perfect view' to have a chair and not have to deal with the crowds to watch the show. That's why I love the WOC dessert party so much! It's expensive but so worth it to have a seat to relax in.

We did the Fantasmic Dessert package one year when they used to have it it was great! Then last trip we did the BB and got the cushion, the view was amazing but I was sore from sitting for so long. This year we are leaning towards trying RBT for the exact same reason. Also splurging for the WOC Dessert party our first night there, there is a halloween party that night so I am hoping on getting us reservations for the dessert party if WOC is running that night.

I wish they had a dessert party option for F! this time around but the RBT premium will have to do I guess. I don't do as well sitting on the ground as I used to sobthe chair is a huge plus for me! Have fun planning your trip!! :)
