Fantasmic seating

Hiya gang! My dbf and I will be there 12/6-12/10. While my dbf doesn't have mobility issues, sitting on the ground and getting back up is very difficult. He also cannot stand in one spot for too long. I don't think there is a dessert party anymore and we do have a dinner package. Any suggestions on what area to go to that has a wall seat or something?

There are no areas a that have a wall for you to sit on. The only chance you might have for an actual seat that is not the ground (aside from VIP) is in the standby area they have the wheelchairs go out on the smoking dock and there are a few benches there. If no mobility devices are used you may have difficulty getting a CM to let you sit there and it's a pretty far side view so you'll miss a decent amount of the show, with it either being a side view or dark by the time it gets to you. Another option is sitting at the outdoor tables by Stage Door, first come, first served and people grab those up a couple of hours before the show. It's not the best view either, as you're far back and have a walkway in front of you.

Hi! I actually had a very similar issue on our last trip in Oct. We did the Blue Bayou dining package. I am definitely 'pooh sized' but walk fine and handle all rides (except Goofy's Sky School and Matterhorn) fine. I do have spinal stenosis and mild spinal arthritis which make sitting without back support difficult. I'm 29 and don't use or need mobility assistance so I've never tried the wheelchair area. You go to your seating area early, and then can watch fireworks after so we are talking a long time sitting! This may not be acceptable to you, but I sat in the back of the section with my back up against a garbage can. NOT ideal because it was on rollers or something so I couldn't fully lean against it. I also stood up until the last moment. I'm not going to lie, I was very uncomfortable throughout both the show and the fireworks. I keep meaning to email Disney for suggestions on how to do this better. Maybe reserve dinner at River Belle Terrace for close to showtime? That was one of my friends ideas.

We did the BB F! package in September and hubby can't sit on the ground due to new hips. They let us sit on the center steps which were much easier than sitting on the ground. Hubby sat right next to the rail making it even easier for him.

Oh what a great idea! We'll ask! I guess it will depend on what section we're in. We are doing the BBF Fantasmic package as well.
