Can someone explain to me how it works to be able to watch the fireworks from your Fantasmic riverside seats? Do they let you just hang out there with your dessert box and drinks? Has anyone done this and is it a good view? I am thinking this may be a good way to get the most bang for our buck if we decide to do riverside.
Also, how early do you have to check in for Fantasmic?

yes infact they ask you to remain seated for the fireworks after the early fantasmic show. As for location, it is so so, you get to see the fireworks exploding, you get to hear the sounds that go with it, but you definately do not get the full effect as if you were in the hub.. If your in the hub it surounds you, and you have the effect of the castle like it was designed to be viewed....

We checked in at 7 for the 9:30 show a couple weeks ago, and enjoyed the fireworks from our seats, even could see tink flying above the trees off on the right... check in right at 7 (get there 10 minutes before or so) to get the center section (the best seats.)

What? They still have tinkerbell flying around the castle during the fireworks? When we were there in june she was not flying around the castle for the fireworks. Maybe the wind temp was just too cold. I dunno. I figured several things in the show were different and that was just one of them.

Let me get this straight......if you check in at 7 for the 9:30 show I am assuming you are not sitting there for 2.5 hours, they hold your seats and you can come back closer to show time?

I believe you just need to check in and then come back 15mins or so before the show starts. Not sure what time you have to check in by or when they start letting people check in at. I would like to know this however.
thanks

That's right...you check in, and then come back closer to the actual time. Seats will be waiting! Also - you just stay put for fireworks, and you can see them pretty well, including Tink - but only for the early show i think?

It's nice to have a seat and the fireworks are nice, but do try and arrange another fireworls viewing closer to the center of the action. Quite a difference!
Also..it seems there are two different options for the dessert. When we went there was a buffet of the items, then a friend went and they just got a box with an assortment of items. btw..the raspberry filled ones are to die for.
enjoy!
