Just made our reservations for the Fantasmic! with dinner at Hollywood and Vine.

One question though: Does anyone know how good the reserved seating is at Fantasmic? Usually we go about an hour early and sit about 10-15 rows back.

Just wondering if the reserved seating you get when you do dinner in the park is better than the seating by just walking in?

TIA :cheer2:

they use the whole right side you can get good seats your just not in the middle, but it is reserved top to bottom

I personally think that it is the best seating in the house. You are directly in front of the right-side water screen (in the middle section you are to the side of both water screens), you still have a great view of the stage and the best part is that you can get out of the theater before all of the people seated in the rest of it since you are next to the exit. If you hustle you can get out of the park before most are even out of the theater.

Hmmm. I thought the best seating was center section about 1/3 way back. The far right side seating with the fantasmic package isn't that great, unless you arrive pretty early so that you can get the far left part of the area. And the only reason to get the Fantasmic package is to not have to arrive so early, right?

I'm new here and I knew you could now make reservations for Fantasmic but how far in advance can you do that? We're going for our honeymoon next May. I know they have different time lines for the different shows and restaurants.

I'm new here too.......and I didn't know you could even MAKE reservations for Fantasmic!! Isn't it a show?? I haven't been to WDW in almost 8 years, and didn't see it (if they had it) when I was there. Is there anything else I should make reservations for???? Do you just make reservations for Fantasmic at the disney reservation #? thanks!

I was disappointed because I would have preferred to be in the middle instead of on the right and when we went there were a whole bunch of rows in front of us but they wouldn't let us down, don't know what went on there...... All in all it was a great show though. I would do it with little kids that can't sit for 1 1/2 hours to get good seats.

Has anyone gone to Fantasmic 30 minutes prior to show and got seats? I hate sitting and waiting.

I did! And what was strange it was a very busy time, we went DEC. 26th. We were going to leave MGM, and thought lets just hop in line and see if we get in. We waited in line for about 30 minutes before they let us in. We got seats right in the middle about 10 rows from the front. Thought they were great seats, except we got a little wet. (but the kids loved that). We canceled our Fantasmic ressies for later in the week. Now I'm not sure what to do for our next trip. Should we try to wait in line again and get lucky or go for the package! :confused3

We did this last week and I thought we had great seats in the Ursula section. It was a hoot before the show started . A brazilian tour group was beside us and they were starting the wave watching them was so much fun. They were so happy to be there and their ooooo's and aaaaaaah's during the actual show were so magical. They so totally wanted to be there!

one more question.......if I do make reservations for Fantasmic with dinner, which resturant that participates is most "family friendly". (meaning, which restaurant is best for 2 hyper 2 year olds and 1 hyper 5 year old boys) From the sounds of both of them on allears, they sound a little two fancy for my party of boys. I think I might be best waiting in line.......?????

We always do the Hollywood & Vine... it is definitely kids friendly and even has a "kids" section on the buffet. The food is good and not 'fancy' and the atmosphere is very family oriented and fun. The dessert buffet is great fun for kids since they can make their own sundaes. It is loud enough in there that your kids won't disturb anyone. I would give it a try... it is great to have a package for Fantasmic.

The second show is almost always less crowded. I went on July 22 and we were in line at 10:00 and still got good seats, not in Mickey ( although if I looked hard enough I could have sat there) but the next row over about 1/2 way up. The theatre was not full for that show.
