Fantasmic reserved seating question

I have a F! package and was curious about the reserved seating.

i've read that the seating is to the right of the stage which can hinder your view.

I am traveling with my 30 month old and would like for her to have a great view. She does not freak out due to loud noises and really enjoys fireworks.

my question is, do I have to sit in the reserved seating? Is there any way for me to get a seat towards the center after entering through the reserved seating entrance for F! package holders?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

The view is to the side of the stage, but we have never complained of the view. If you don't want to sit in the reserved section, you can get there early, wait in line and sit n the non reserved section. It seems like it defeats the purpose of having the package.

so once in my reserved seating, i won't be allowed to move to a different area?

i'm sure the view for me will be fine...i'm just more worried about her view.

Even though the reserved seating isn't directly center stage, imo you will not have any problem seeing as you can see it from anywhere in the ampitheater. You are directed to the reserved seating, so whether or not you can move I don't know. It seems unlikely with thousands of people entering the theater. Honestly I think you will be fine. Here is a picture of the theater: http://www.stitchkingdom.com/maps/index.php?showmap=11

I agree with the other PPs. The view from the reserved seating is unobstructed. For anyone seated in those seats. Not sure why you think it would be different for you or your DD.

No, they will not chain you to your seat in the reserved section. When you enter the amphitheatre you will be directed to the reserved seating, but if you choose to be seated elsewhere, and can find a seat, then you are free to do so. You would have to show up earlier than the recommended time (30-45 min before the show) to find one, though. Unless you are there on a very uncrowded day. And that does seem to defeat the whole purpose of purchasing the F. dining package.

If you are determined to sit in the general seating, then save yourself the money and cancel the dining package.

As I said in the other post that you asked this question, it's a traditional amphitheater that the Greeks and Romans perfected. They were designed and perfected to make sure that every person in the theater can see and hear everything.

i've never seen the fantasmic show which is why i am asking.

i've read other reviews online and more often than not, they have said the reserved seating was awful.

i just want to make sure she will be able to see.

i'm keeping my reservation @ mama melrose as my daughter will probably be napping and i will get to enjoy a nice meal in peace. :lmao:

We've done the reserved seating many times...the view is fine from everywhere. However, if you want to sit near the bottom of the theater (closest to the show) you will need to get there about 45-50 minutes before show time because the lower seats do fill up fast. Note that you have a good chance of getting a bit wet down there...if there's the slightest breeze the water-fountain effects in the lake will splash you. And it's very loud & very bright down there, too...might overwhelm your toddler. We actually prefer sitting at the top of the amphitheater on the reserved side...close to the side exit which takes you directly to the front of the park & gets you out ahead of most of the other 5000 people trying to leave right then.

The reserved seating is off to the side, but unless a tall person sits in front of you (which can happen) the view is unobstructed. We have been in the package section a couple of times and thought the view was just fine. We have also been in the front row of the center section (you will get wet there) and my DD absolutely LOVED it there. Me, not so much. ;)

If you want to sit outside the package section, then I would cancel the package. There's no reason to eat when and where the package dictates if you aren't going to use the reserved seating area. You will need to get there earlier than recommended with the package though, to get seats elsewhere. If there is a second show on your night, I've heard it's easier to get seats without waiting as long in line. I've never been at a time of year with two shows per night though, so I don't have any first hand experience with that.

We don't mind the reserved section seating at all. We tend to sit toward the back, as we do in many shows, because I often feel like it gives me a better broad view of the action. I've never felt like the section was bad. You could move easily to the non-reserved section if you wanted and there were seats available, but I wouldn't bother with the package if that's your intention.

thanks for the suggestions.

i'm going to try and sit higher up in case we do sit behind a tall person (which knowing my luck, i will somehow end up behind a tall person).

fingers crossed for us! :thumbsup2
