I was wondering if DL does a second Fantasmic show like at WDW during peak seasons. We will be there in late June.

I am trying to decide if I want to spend the money on Fantasmic reserved seating.

I wish there was a service where you could pay someone to camp out for you to get seats!:rotfl:

Yes, usually in late June (or when the park closes at midnight) DL runs 2 Fantasmic shows: 9:00 and 10:30. For me personally, the steep $59 or so is not worth a small box of goodies and a seat for a 20 min show. I have no problem sitting on the ground for 30-45 min to reserve a good seat for the show. But I know other people have different opinions.

There was a thread about the dessert boxes earlier, though I can't find it. There are some Disers who enjoyed the experience and think it was well worth the clear view and novelty treats. It depends on how you budget, and if you want to splurge or not. It's true it used to be a buffet, so it's sad that that has gone, but if you are one for shelling out extra cash for great seats and some treats, then it may be right for you.

On my past trips to DL, we would always show up on the riverfront an hour and half to two hours early, lay a blanket on the ground right up against the rail, play cards, and chit chat. It's nice when you have someone who is exhausted and willing to stay there to save the seat while some others in the party can go on PoTC or HM.

Not me, lol. I cannot seeing paying $59 for dessert and a reserved seat assuming I could eat anything. I can go to Goofy's Kitchen and have a full meal for $40 as an example. That leaves $9 for hot dog, chip and soda pop at Coke corner AND a cheddarburger, criss cross fries, and soda pop for $10 with my AP.

Box of desserts or a cheddar burger, fries, two drinks, on all I can drink beverage, hot dog, chips for later snacking, and a full buffet with all I can eat desserts and ice cream. I am not sure about Goofy's prices but I think it is less which would add popcorn to the button popping amount of food.

They do do the two shows and the first group is herded out then the second group is pushing to get into the seating area. Less people then though. Big traffic jam in that small area.

I think they do two shows whenever it's showing. Last March we were there before the spring break crowds, and whilst it was only shown on the weekend, there were still 2 shows on those nights.

If you do the reserve seating do the first show then you can stay n your seats for fireworks.
We did the seating for 59 bucks I thought it was great and would do it again.

If your not doing the seating and want a good spot I would wait for the 2nd show it is way less crowded.

There are not always 2 shows. For example, when the park was closing at 8pm in February, Fantasmic ran at 7:30pm, one show only. If you think about it logically, this makes sense as it needs to be dark to run Fantasmic, so there is not time for 2 shows.
