How long does Fantasmic last? If there is a show at 7:00 and then another at 8:30, what time should I show up for the 8:30 show? Thanks!

i think it lasts about 30 minutes.I would start queing up outside at least 30 mins before the show.Depends what time of year you are going though.I was there in june and waited an hour.

Fantasmic! length is approx. 28 minutes.
But a full theater takes about 20-25 ADDITIONAL minutes to empty, plus a goodly amount of MORE time for the CMs to finish cleaning it.

For the first show (or if there is only one show that evening) the theater is "opened" about 60-90 before show-time and guests can just walk into the theater and pick a seat.

About an hour before show-time is a great "rule-of-thumb" for any time of year.
If its a BUSY park, you'll still find very good seats at that time.
If its a lower-attendance time, you'll find GREAT seats (front-row or really ANYWHERE) by an hour before.

If there's a SECOND show of the evening, if you arrive a hour early there WILL be a "line".
That's because they hold guests back from entering while the CMs clean the theater after the first show.
But don't worry, once they start letting guests enter, the theater will not be full by any means. The second show virtually never "sells out" even when the park is busy.

We're going to MGM on Monday Nov 6. It looks like that is the last show before it's closed for a couple of days.... MGM is supposed to be a good park on Mondays - do you think I still have a good chance of seeing Fantasmic without the dining package as long as I'm there an hour before showtime?

Nobody can predict what a totally random group of guests will or won't do, but I'd say be there no LATER than 60 minutes before show-time (just in case) and you should find some seats just fine at that time of year (if the show is still operating).

Enjoy the show!

Thanks for the replies. It looks like we'll have time to eat dinner out of MGM after all.

You know, I have seen Fantasmic a number of times now, and we have always sat on the front row in the Fan-package section, except for once. We came late and sat high up in the Fantasmic section. Never sit in the back! To many people moving aroudn instead of watching the show.

The night we did this it rained a little, so people in front of us stood up and just stood. I actually had to yell at them to get them to sit or move. Not one of my better Disney moments, but, my wife is short and she can't see over people well. I tend to over defend her, but, that's me.

Fantasmic! - Closed for refurbishment 11/1/06 - 11/8/06. Reopens on 11/9/06

Can I ask about nights when there are three Fantasmic shows? We're planning on being there Dec. 27th, and there are shows at 6:30, 8:30, and 10 pm. I imagine the park will be quite crowded then! We didn't even go to MGM on our WDW trip three years ago but I hear Fantasmic is awesome.

We normally do a big lunch on our Fantasmic day . Then buy some carry-in food and eat that while were waiting for the show to start. We hit it at about 1 hr before the 1st show .

I thought so and then rechecked a calendar today that I thought showed it open. Well, I double-checked now and you're correct. I must have looked at the wrong date....

Show 1 & 2 will be busier than show 3.

I'd still be waiting about an hour before show-time.
