Can you give me any details or point me in the right direction of a good thread?

How much? Where do you sit? is it a good view? What desserts? Pictures?

thank you so much :)))

We just got back from our trip very late last night and did the Fantasmic seating and it rocked! I would do it again in a heartbeat. I got there about 1.5 hrs early (you can get your seat as of 8pm) at 6:30pm and waited in line. There were 3 people ahead of me all with small groups of 4 or less. The castmember Leilani who was working war great. She took the first 4 of us to the seating area so we could see where the choices were so to make an educated decission about our seats. At 8pm they started marking down what seats we wanted and we had to be back just before 9pm to take our seats. We were thrilled with our seats. We were dead center in the first and second row. It was incredible! We had great service from Moses and the other cast members too! :wizard:

Just a note to those interested: Prior to going I called the reservation line 2 times and also asked at City Hall when I picked up my ticktes to see if there was a gluten free option for the dessert tray you get and was told no. In talking with Leilani she indicated there defintely was. She said next time to ask to talk to her manger who does that Fantasmic and they can arrange dietary needs. She was so sweet! Sadly there was not time enough to get me a gluten free dessert try in that small 1.5 hr window but she did get me a very nice fresh fruit tray to go with what I could eat from the regualr desserts.

So there is a dessert package you can buy (like the WOC picnic) and get priority seating?

How much is it and do you have to buy one per person? I just saw a picture of it on the food porn thread, but it was from 2009, so I wasn't sure if they are still doing it. Do you need to order it on line a head of time ( like the picnic?)

Sorry, DL newbie here and we go in a week so I am last min brushing up on details. :thumbsup2

It is $60 per adult (don't know the child (3-9) rate I think it might be $50) and every person three and older must pay. It is very different from the WoC picinic. With WoC picnics all you get is your box of food to eat wherever you want after you pick it up and a fast pass to let you in the general WoC viewing area. The dessert area for F! is a roped off area with actual chairs and only those with pre paid tickets are allowed to enter and you actually consume your desserts in your chair (or you can take the box with you when you leave if you so choose).

You get the dessert box and unlimited beverages (water, soda, etc.) and your chair. If you attend the 1st showing you are invited to stay and view the fireworks from your seat. If you get in the center section the view is awesome. The views from the non center sections are Ok but I don't feel worth the price. The desserts are ok but certainly not worth $60. IMHO it's only worth the price tag if you get the front and center seats.

When you phone in your ressie your CC is charged at that time. All that does is assure you there will be a chair for you, and they issue you a conformation number. You have to take your conformation number to City Hall, Guest Relations, or to the front desk of the DLR hotel you are a registered guest at to turn your confo. number into actual tickets. The day of your ressie you have to get in line to choose your seats. They tell you to be there an hour before check in time (check in time is 8pm). When we went the beginning of this month we wandered over there at 6:00pm and there was already another family waiting so we jumped in line behind them. Within minutes the line was over 20 people long and the front and center seats were all taken by the first 4 in line.

Don't know about booking on line, I have always pre booked this on the phone.

Hope this helped!

All i did was call vacation planing, told them the date and how many. they took my DC info and made the reservation when we became eligible. Works great when you are staying on site.

Yes I know VP can do it for you. I just prefer to do it myself and let VP take care of those that aren't as DLR savvy. :)
