Fantasmic pre-show?

The first time I saw Fantasmic was in 1999. One of my favourite WDW memories is the hilarious pre-show with wise-cracking acrobatic type entertainers (kind of like the streetmosphere characters at MGM).

I hadn't seen Fantasmic in awhile (maybe a couple of years) and went back to see it this year in January. Much to my dismay the pre-show was gone!

Anyone know why it was eliminated and when? It's really too bad!

I remember this pre-show and it was great - DH and I saw it about 3 years ago. Did not see it last time we were there which was 2002. We actually wondered what happened to it as well.

I guess it fell victim to cost cutting.

The only pre-show entertainment now is the audience which does the :thewave: and then :thewave: and after that :thewave: .When that's finished, it goes on to :thewave: followed by :thewave: finally ending at just about show time with :thewave: Boy, do you get waiting
