Fantasmic packages, why such early times for the first show?

When searching for the dinner reservation times for the first Fantasmic show it appears most of the available times stop at around 5pm. To get a later dining time you have to reserve a second show seating?

Ideally we would like to have dinner at around 7:30 and then walk down to our reserved spot around 8:30. Would it be possible to book a 7:30 time for the second show and ask for a pass for the first show? Any other way to get around this?

They might be sold out

I was checking for Dinner on the first weekend of Halloween and got one at like 6:45 but they had times up to 8 PM

(PS, I would not go past 7:30 PM because they let you into the Fantasmic area at 8 PMish)

Yeah we currently have a Noon lunch reservation for the Cafe Orleans package on our second night which includes passes for the first show. But we are doing lunch at Blue Bayou on our first day and I would prefer not to have two big lunches but rather a big lunch followed by a big dinner.

Quite honestly, ideally we would do RDZ for dinner on our second night around 7 or 7:30 and go to the first show after we eat. The Cafe Orleans package is just so expensive and I can’t imagine our two boys (ages 16 and 13) are going to want to eat that much at Noon.

We did RDZ and it is a big meal. They gave us to go boxes.

Yeah, I just switched to RDZ for a lunch reservation. The price point is so much better than CO and RBT for a four person lunch. We may just do a light dinner and split the Monte Cristo at CO for dinner before Fantasmic since they have a lot more open spots for regular reservations.

I agree! I am planning on trying to book the Cafe Orleans options when my booking window opens, and it looks like if I want to do the first Fantasmic showing then the latest I can book for dinner is 6pm, and it can be competitive to swoop up for this very reason.

Maybe I'll end up eating my massive meal at 4:00pm 😝

I know it's a joke and not ideal, but my family usually eats our "dinner" at 4:00 while visiting DLR! We come from CT and frankly it's just easier for us that way. We eat early before heading back from an afternoon break. Then we enjoy rides while everyone else is eating!

My favorite seating time for Goofy's Kitchen is 4:00 right when they open for dinner. No waiting and low crowds!
