Fantasmic Package

Can someone explain this to me. Do you pay extra for this? Is it billed when you make your ADR?

We did the Fantasmic Package a couple of years ago and you did not pay extra. You simple had to make a reservation for the Fantasmic Package at the Hollywood and Vine, Mama Melrose, or Brown Derby. We did Hollywood and Vine and I really did not like the buffet. However, my inlaws that were with us really enjoyed the buffet. If you are on the dp then the Brown Derby is 2ts but the other 2 restuarants are only 1. If you have someone in your party that hates long lines, then it probably well worth it. Last year we did not get the package and went to the early Fantasmic show. Our seats were better and we did not stand in the crowded line. But, we went to the first show and we arrived about 45 minutes early.

no difference in the cost of eating at the restaurants......we always do the Hollywood and Vine FP and will do it again in 7 weeks......introducing a few people to this buffet......
It is worth it for us as sitting on those uncomfortable bleacher seats is not my idea of spending extra time......

I've seen Fantasmic with and without the Fantasmic Dining Package. I am absolutely going to do it again!!! The reason is that when we did not do it, they started letting people in, but then for some reason the entire group of people stopped moving and we stood there for a good 10 minutes in a mass of wall to wall people! Everyone was hot and sweaty and there were people everywhere! I'm not normally clostrophobic, but just that feeling of standing there like that made me feel like I couldn't breathe.

When we did the package, we walked up that long walkway by using the special entrance........but at least we were moving!!!!!!!!

I'm doing the disney dining plan anyway, so I just pick the restaurant out of the 3 available. I figure I will need to eat that day, so why not get a little something extra (not having to wait to see Fantasmic) out of it.

There is no additional charge for the package itself. However, the package, which includes a fixed price dinner and the Fantasmic! seating pass, MUST be guaranteed at the time of booking with a credit card, and a $10 cancellation fee applies if not cancelled at least 48 hours beforehand.

Prices for the fixed price dinners are as follows:

Brown Derby $46.99 adult/$11.99 child (3-9) (plus tax and gratuity). Adult meal includes appetizer, entree, dessert and non-specialty, non-alcoholic beverage. Children must order from Children's Menu, and have a choice of soup or salad, entree, dessert and child's beverage.

Mama Melrose $32.99 adult/$11.99 child (3-9) (plus tax and gratuity). Adult meal includes appetizer, entree, dessert and non-specialty, non-alcoholic beverage. Children must order from Children's Menu, and have a choice of soup or salad, entree, dessert and child's beverage.

Hollywood & Vine $24.99 adult/$11.99 child (3-9) not including admission, tax, and gratuity (no characters). All you care to eat buffet. Choose from a number of selections including; oven-roasted Prime Rib, Citrus Baked Chicken, Pan-seared Salmon, and Stir-Fry Noodles with Sesame. Also includes fresh salads and build your own ice cream/dessert bar. Adult beverages NOT included. Child's meal includes beverage.

All packages include a special pass for seating at that night's Fantasmic! and dinner at the restaurant chosen.

We have always done H&V - but the next time we plan on doing MM - since our kids will be older.

Oven Baked Chicken alla Parmesan over spaghetti at MM sounds good to us.
also - Pork Marsala - pan-seared pork tenderloin with wild mushroom risotto and asparagus topped with Parmigiano-Reggiano and marsala sauce .

For dessert:
Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake
Tiramisu
Gelato

Also - we try to seer away from buffets and the unwanted sneezing on the food
