Fantasmic Package VS Primetime 50s?

Hey guys,

I have an ADR for Primetime Cafe on our DHS day, but I have just read about the fantasmic package and the fact you get VIP entrance is making me think I should cancel our Primetime ADR and book for Hollywood & Vine.

We are going in July, so think the fantasmic package will be worth it due to the crowds?

What is everyone's opinion? what is the food like in Hollywood and Vine?

I am a really big fan of the F. dining package. I think it is especially useful any time the park is busy and when the weather is hot and humid. Anything to avoid standing out in the sun for extended periods!!

That being said, I am definitely NOT a fan of H&V (at least their dinner buffet). We had 2 very disappointing meals there and have vowed never to return. But thats just our opinion. We actually prefer Mama Melrose. I would even consider doing HBD if we were on the DDP.

The only times I would consider NOT doing the F. dining package are 1. during VERY low crowd times. 2. When the weather is quite cool in the early evening or 3. If there is a second show scheduled and we prefer to see the second show.

I had the same questions! We will only be at dhs for 1 day so have to get F! in there! We are going in July as well. Is their likely to be a second show due to high crowds or is that only on emh nights??

We are going to F! for the 1st time that being said, I have read many swear by the F! Pkg especially during busier times. It seems the prefered choices are Mama Melroses(where you will get an app even if only on the DDP) and HBD both of which you can book either a lunch or dinner package. HollyWood and Vine is the least favored of the 3 and is only bookable with the F! pkg for dinner.

Pkg can book up quickly and if a 2nd show of F! is added you can choose to go to it and just give your VIP seating passes to someone else. The tix are only good for the 1st F! show.

We at first booked HBD but switched to MM after reading quite a few reviews and hearing that the steak at MM is good.

We have done the package at H&V many times. Before our last trip we decided that we would not go there again as the food is not great and it's very crowded and rushed. We chose instead to eat at the 50's Prime Time. The food was very good and we had no problem getting in to the Fantasmic show. Unless you want to sit up close we have never had a problem getting in and having a great view. have a great trip!

H&V is really not a great restaurant. We ate there 2 times in one trip and we swore to never go again! It's been 5 years and many trips and we have still not been back. We never had a problem getting into Fantasmic. Personally, I'd stick with 50s prime time!!!!

I'm also a HUGE Fan of the F! Dining Package...

Due to school, etc... we've always booked our trips at the BUSIEST times...

July 4th weekend, etc...

We've done H&V on it's own.... and H&V F! Dining package.

I am one of the few ppl here who have NO problem with H&V... I've actually enjoyed the salads, potatoes, carved roast... kiddos seem to fill up ...it's a buffet so I don't have to worry if they like their entree.. they WILL get enough food...

Last visit DS and I tried HBD F! dining pkg... and truth be told... I actually enjoyed my H&V dinner MORE ! Really I had hoped to really like HBD and I will give it another try in May as it is the only Imagineer lunch available....

However in May we will try MM F! Pkg so I can round out my experiences here..
but I DEFINITELY Do recommend F! Pkg if you are going during a busy time of year... it is marvelous ! And Give H&V a try.... make your OWN opinion... of the place.....it's a buffet..for heaven's sake if you don't like something...get another plate !
