we are going back in just over a year - considering doing this package..

1. are the packages in high demand? will it be hard to get is what I mean? It took me forever to get Chef Mickey this last time

2. After you eat, how soon must you go to your assigned area at the theater? If we have an early dinner, can we do a few things before going over to the theater if time permits?

The package times are quite limited, and they do sell out. I called at about 170 days out for Brown Derby in early August, and the only time I could get for a party of 5 was 4:30. That was earlier than I wanted, but I was told all the later times for the package were sold out.

Fantasmic was at 9:00 when we were there, and dinner took until about 6:00. We had plenty of time to do a few things before we had to check in for the show sometime after 8:15 or so.

We have dinner at 5:00 at Mama Melrose next Monday and Fantasmic is at 8:30. We figure we will be done with dinner by 6:30 or so--we don't like to rush. That should give us a little over an hour to do a few attractions before we line up for the show.

We had done Fastasmic in 06 and went to HW&V but booked the 180 days in advance.

This time we were going to skip it, then hubby decided he wanted to do it. (It scared our boys last time, but now they are older and should be able ot handle it) So I called this past weekend....MM was sold out the whole week we are going, and some days HW&V was already sold out. We did manage to get in, but our dinner ressie is for 3:50pm....much earlier than we normally eat (so me may do a CS when we get back to the hotel or maybe a 'snack' during the show).

So yes it does book up

And last time we had a chance to get on some rides before the show.

I have never done the fantasmic package either but I did manage to get a 3:50 ressie for H & V 9not my first choice or time) so I am curious to know how it is going to work.
