Fantasmic Package Reservation

I made our Fantasmic Package reservation when HS was only having the Fantasmic show 2 times during our travel dates. We have a lunch reservation for 10/23 at 1:30 pm at Mama Melrose. But now that during our vacation dates 10/22-10/29 Fantasmic is scheduled EVERY day, I don't know if we would need the priority seating.

What do you all suggest ?

You can get better seats if you go on your own. Plus, since its available every day now, there's no point in reserving IMHO. The reserved seating isnt great to be honest. Also, what happens when the day of fantasmic you have an ADR then fantasmic gets cancelled due to rain? I think you would get passes to go the next day/another time. But in any case, i think the pkg is a waste.

We've done priority seating at Hollywood and Vine every year including this one. Quite honestly..its a joke. This year, the food at HV was lack luster and that is being nice. The seating is all the way to the right of the stage and not great. I see people waiting in line for hours..if you walk up 15 minutes before show time, you will get great seats on your own.

Same thing has happened to me. I booked the package because a big portion of our week overlaps with Jersey week so I thought it would be really crowded, and Fantasmic was only offered 2 nights during our vaca. I didn't cancel yet but I'm leaning towards that direction.

We have never done the Fantasmic package since I read on Dis that the seats are way to the right of the stage. DH and I stood in line the 1st couple of times (and let the kids ride TOT while we waited). Standing in line gets you seats close to the show but personnally, DH and I don't like to be close, we would rather be higher up so we normally get at the end of the line after they let everyone start going in and the line starts moving. We have always gotten great seats. IMHO, the Fantasmic package is not the way to go.

I said keep it, just because it's a decent time for lunch (a bit late, but still) and you do have to eat anyway.

So unless you didn't really want to eat there, or didn't really want to eat a TS, I would just keep it.

(And I have never done the package, so just giving my feelings on what I might do.)

We just used the package for the very first time and it was nice to not have to wait in the long line to get in, we knew we had seats. We did end up sitting in the back to the side but still felt we saw the show just fine. I think we would do it again.

For me, it would depend on whether you would normally eat at MM? We booked HBD on the package when it was only twice the week we are going. We simply moved our dinner to a night that fit better when the F! showings expanded, as we wanted to eat at HBD anyway. As we are paying OOP anyway, it seemed like a fairly good deal for us to get the seating without waiting in addition to our meal.

We have done Fantasmic package with dinner at Mama Melrose and also gone to Fantasmic on our own (no package) and we much preferred our seats going on our own. We loved Mama Melrose, but were not thrilled with the seating for the package.

So I voted cancel the booking.

TOTALLY off topic but CATIRA... I LOVE your profile picture! What breed is your dog? I grew up with a Peak-a-poo and loved him. Your pics reminds me of him and I want to look into getting a puppy this next year. I'm a sucker for cute, small, white dogs.

OHHH and I loved this thread too. I'm looking at the same thing.
We had Hollywood and Vine booked but I wanted Mama Melrose.
I finally got in with a cancelation. But now I'm wondering if we keep it as well.

Can you move seats later if you want? THinking we'll keep the lunch ressie we have and then get seated, but if we don't like it, then move to the top later?
Has anyone done this??
