Fantasmic package at Hollywood/Vine?

nope, wasn't me... we've only been there around labor day... and we LOVE our old navy tee shirts... we all have them and typically wear them on our travel day... ds calls them our airplane shirts! LOL!

We have done the package at H&V for everyone one of our trips, the food has varied from ok to really good, but we hate waiting an hour and a half or more to see the show.

We did H&V Monday night and were actually quite impressed. Yes, I thought the price was a couple dollars too much....but not any more so than any food at the parks.
There were lots and lots of choices for everything....spreads, dips, various salads, sides, etc. Loved the Turkey Pot Roast (yes, I'm pretty sure that was what they called it!) Even lots of choices in the special kids section, although my kids ate several items from the regular buffet. They thought the make your own sundae was wonderful. When you figure a plain soft serve at a park stand is about $3.50 alone, the kids prices isn't that bad! I wasn't overly impressed with the other desserts...seemed to look better than they tasted.
We arrived about 45 minutes ahead and were some of the first in the reserved section (last 2 sections on the left). The middle sections of the regular seating were already completely filled. We thought Fantasmic was an amazing show, but I don't know that we would go through waiting in line for hours to see it again since we are not really show people.

I am not really a "show" person either. I have heard that this is a good one though. So I would like to see it once. I will definitely do a package so I can avoid a long wait for a seat. Now I just have to decide which restaurant. I know my DD6 would LOVE a make your own sundae bar!

Personally, i think H and V is a very good option with kids. Lots to choose from...both at the regular buffet and at the kid buffet. If they don't like what they picked, they can try something else. And no wait for a waitress to take your order.
My kids loved the sundae bar....most of the usual toppings including different kinds of sprinkles, sauces, etc as well a few different options like the little pastel meltaway mints.

I thought the reserved seats for the show were perfectly fine. We had a water screen right in front of us. We did end up sitting for over 45 minutes...but at least we were sitting and could stand up, stretch, move around, etc.
The show was def. one of the better shows, but don't know if I would wait that long to see it again right away. I thought the fireworks at MK were just as impressive....simple and beautiful while Fantasmic is a bit over the top. However, I would eat at H and V with the kids again.

I liked H&V and the package as well. We like the atmosphere of the Crystal Palace better for dinner (H&V is louder and pretty sterile decor), but the food at H&V was good. There were some nice choices: some interesting salads, shrimp, mussels, seafood pasta, sweet potatos, some other grilled veggies, veg. pasta, several meat and fish choices (good salmon), and a very nice steak at the carving station. We also really liked not waiting so long for Fantasmic. We did go earlier then we needed (about 45 minutes maybe, but my girls had little toys they wanted to play with, so it was perfect-they played while we waited). The seats were fine, although I wouldn't want to be way over on the right.
