fantasmic...overrated?

I have to agree with you. I've seen Fantasmic 4 or 5 times, and while I generally enjoy it, I prefer Illuminations and Wishes. If staying for Fantasmic isn't convenient on my MGM day, I have no regrets.

I'm doing the Fantasmic pack at H&V. Let me ask you are you sorry you did it? Or is it you did it and don't need to do it again? Thanks.

Have a magical day,
Anna

We went once which was enough for me. We did the Hollywood and Vine meal and were later escorted through this back alley. When we got there it was packed. We wound up sitting on the far right. I guess to get the best view you have to be right in the middle. It was just okay for me. I don't have the desire to repeat the experience.

You get ADRs for either H&V, MM or BD for the Fantasmic pack. and you have guaranteed seating for Fantasmic. It's reserved seating all the way to the right and I believe you only need to be there 1/2 before the show.

Have a magical day,

Did it once. Don't need to do it again. It's just my opinion. Do it at least once and you decide. ;)

Same opinion as most-the show is OK-not something we do every trip. Some updating is desparately needed here. We really do not care to sit on a metal bench, or worse yet, stand, for a show 60-90 minutes before it starts with no entertainment. At least Sea World has pre show entertainment to keep the early arrivals occupied.

The exit is a mess-usually tripping over abandoned strollers and such. Just not my idea of entertainment.

IMHO, Fantasmic is better than Wishes. It's on our can't-miss list of things to do when we visit in August.

That's what I was hoping for. Thanks

Have a magical day,
Anna

We were There in Feb...Fanstasmic was the last thing my girlfriend and I did before heading back to Michigan...First time she saw it...after we leave..she says...why did we not do this every night? Far and away..in my opinion the best Disney has to offer...44 y/o DD here...brings tears to my eyes everytime...

I've seen Fantasmic, once, and that was enough for me.

It wasn't worth the hype - long wait, being hustled and rushed to the seats by exasperated and sometimes rude cast members, trampled by many overanxious and sometimes rude guests, uncomfortable seats, a show that is not that long but feels like it is never ending, and when it is over, a reversal of the process to get in.

My experience every day commuting NYC from New Jersey via train and subway is far more pleasant than trying to get to my seat in the Fantasmic venue

In my opinion, Disney need to do a lot more in crowd control and entertainment in the waiting line to entice me to want to see this again.

I loved when the Studios had their own fireworks, before Fantasmic - now that was magical!
